What is your next big thing? It could be a trip or event that you look forward to scrapping, a haul that you're expecting, a project, a class, a crop, a big reorganizing plan, or any other thing that you're looking forward to that's scrapbook related. It doesn't have to be big to anyone else - just you.
I'm looking forward to scrapping a family vacation from last month. I'm so happy with all the pictures I took and I have a bunch of SS Let's Go to use. I'm also excited for my SS The Little Things and Trail Mix preorder to come in next month.

I don't know really...I'm signed up for a couple more free crafting summits coming up and those sound like fun. I'm hoping to get some scrappy days in and make a bit more of dent in my unscrapped photos and maybe even finish scrapping my Fall trip before DD16 goes on her THREE summer trips and comes home with tons more photos.

I want to have a 'next big thing' but when I think about it I get overwhelmed. I had a written plan for all the projects I was going to do in 2023, but then I found some overlooked photos from 1999 that I decided must be scrapped next, and then I decided I needed to try to do some pages about my grandson, so now I'm totally off track working on those 2 things concurrently and not what I'd planned to do.

So if you have ever been on the NSBR side you may be aware of the over 3 year medical formula battle I have been deal with for DS between medical provider, insurance company, and manufacturing issues.
Well we were granted an increase in his monthly formula delivery amount and have gone from 45 to 180 cans a month. So you better believe I am going to make a layout about allllll those cans neatly stacked, waiting to be consumed by DS and not having to worry about formula. This increase gives us a little over a year of formula. I cried happy tears.
For DD, it will be a layout about the Dino Alive exhibit we are going to in LA next month. We loved LOVED loved the one in San Diego (Jurassic Wold Exhibit) and are both looking forward to this exhibit. We both love dinosaurs.

I know it must be a relief for you to be able to feed your son. My next big thing is my 30 Days of Thankful album for November 2021. I started working on the album back in 2021 and it's maybe halfway done. All of the journaling is typed up. I just need to get it organized and in the album (already purchased).

Started my next big thing today - A total purge and reorganization of my scrap room. We built this house two and a half years ago, and my scrap room closet already needs to be cleaned out. When we moved to North Carolina from Florida, after I retired from 40 years of teaching, I brought a lot of things with me that I know now I'm not going to use. It's time to be realistic about how I thought I was going to spend my time in retirement and how I actually am spending my time in retirement. I heard someone say a few weeks ago that you have to give yourself permission to get rid of old hobbies that you no longer want to do, and that spurred me into action. Once that is completed, I'm going to make a notebook of examples of all of my sentiment stamps and dies, so that I have an easier time of finding what I need to make cards. I'm doing a lot more of that now that I'm retired. The funny thing is even though I'm retired, I'm still on a "school" schedule with summer break. I volunteer at a local elementary school and they'll be on break, and the choral group I sing with is on break until fall. So, I'll be spending my summer with lots of free time!
Edited to add - I also recently heard someone say that when you're purging and cleaning to make sure you leave an area clean so that you can stop and scrap any time you get the urge, even in the middle of purging. That really spoke to me. I can't count the number of times I've tried to reorganize and gave up because I thought of something I needed to scrap or create. Sometimes the simplest solutions escape me until someone else brings them up!

Some little things; plays and concerts. Is it bad I'm less & less excited about scrapping a Disney trip my husband and daughter took?

My next big is going to hopefully be another Better Homes and Garden 1 x 5 cube unit. I have one already and want to add another one. I prefer BHG because they are black, the cube units at Ikea are black-brown. The best price is at walmart, but they are currently out of stock. I have birthday money saved and put aside for it. Just impatiently waiting for it to be back in stock. Checking every single day.

My next big (crafty) thing is working towards completing my 2022 album. I just did thanksgiving, so I have a few Xmas related pages and that’s it! I will feel very accomplished when I am finished. I am needing to put a lot of my scrappy things into storage fairly soon, so I feel a time crunch to get 2022 completed.

One of these days I'm going to buy a photo printer. I'll still bulk order prints, but when I have a print that didn't crop right or I forget to order one, I can just print it and move on.

I just came back from a recent big thing (a week in Orange Beach, AL at the beach). It was amazing & I have lots of pics to scrap!
A couple of big things to me coming up: Son's 21st bday this Sunday GASC Scrapbook convention in June Family trip over July 4th Scrapbook/Crafty 5-day retreat at the end of July

My next big thing is an Alaskan cruise. I have already bought paper from three lines and then found a 12 page kit with specific and detailed pages for the places we are going. It almost seems too easy. I did catch up to 2022 this year, and I want to go back and do 6 years of my kids as elementary schoolers. I don't want to get too far behind and I take a lot of pictures on vacations.

I have a scrappy day planned with a friend on Saturday. We are going to do some shopping and then spend the day together scrapbooking. I am behind on my May sketch layout that I do with some friends, so I am hoping that I can check that box this week.

I am with you! I think I am going to stake that out for Black Friday sales...and see if I can't get an Epson 400 and then earmark it for Christmas. For me, I am thrilled to pieces to be going to a getaway crop, two and a half days of scrappy goodness which I haven't done since Fall 2019. I am a little nervous, but excited! AND we might get to have an in person Pea meet up!

My next big thing is coming up this Thursday! I'm leaving to an out of town resort to scrap and card make for 4 glorious days!! I'm bringing everything but the kitchen sink and I don't care. I will leave some of it in my truck and get it if needed. I'm working on 2 birthday trips, mother's day, concert photos, hockey playoff pictures and birthday cards. I'm bringing my selphy and printing photos off my phone. I can't wait!!

Is it bad I'm less & less excited about scrapping a Disney trip my husband and daughter took? I probably wouldn't be excited to scrap someone else's Disney trip either. Maybe you could do a quick and easy review layout. cmpeter, infochick, kmage, and hockeyfan06, I hope you all have a great time with your friends! 950nancy, I hope you'll share some cruise pictures with us. Alaska is so incredibly beautiful. I forgot to add that I'll be getting a scraproom soon. It's been years since I had a room all to myself. I can't wait to organize, decorate, and spread out.

DH and I are taking a trip to Philly (our first vacation since 'rona!). We were originally going to go in July, but are also considering October instead because it would be for our anniversary and fall foliage.
We've also been talking for years about doing a road trip through Tennessee. I've been writing down ideas since we originally talked about the trip, but seeing him looking at travel guides gets me excited.
(And yes, I already have paper purchased for both of those scrapbooks.)

No major scrappy projects. Just keepin' on keepin' on...
Had hoped to have hockey all wrapped up by now, but I missed the spring crop b/c of illness, so still have that to do to finish my winter albums. Still have some spring photos to scrap as well--dinner theatre, gardening.
Looking forward to attending my dgd's graduation this next weekend and hopefully catching her brothers &/or cousins in a baseball game or two. Also hoping to get some family photos as well. So will be coming home with lots of pic's to scrap.
The first weekend in June there is a local car show with several related events. Dgs and his dad may be celebrating an early Fathers' Day with a ride in a small plane during the event. Hoping to get some pic's I can scrap out of that.
We have no adventures on the horizon. Fortunately, my family usually shares photos of theirs. Our oldest dgd turns 21 on June 21st, and her parents are taking her to Vegas to celebrate. Another ds will be spending a week in Orlando later in June, and they plan to visit Harry Potter at Universal, so I am excited to see some pic's of wand wielding boys! I have a die of a brick wall with a hole through it...
As for new techniques, I am enjoying playing with stencils and ink as well as some media like stencil butter and Luna paste. And I really want to get more familiar with my Spellbinders Glimmer System. I have watched their class videos. Just need to make some space and plug it in...

For me it's scrapping a recent trip on Disney's Galactic Starcruiser. I bought a bunch of Star Wars themed papers and plan to make a mini album. I don't have any themed SW stamps or other embellishments, just paper, but I got a lot of different ones and can probably do a fair bit with just that. Side note: I am crushed it is closing. We had already talked about how excited we were to do it again, maybe make it an annual thing. Had already started strategizing how to upgrade and expand our costumes. Bonus next big thing: I recently broke down and bought a stamp positioner thingy off amazon (not a Misti but same idea) and am looking forward to having that as I have been including stamping more and more in PL spreads.

I am looking forward to SO MUCH this summer & fall: a viewing of "The Princess Bride" with a Q&A with Cary Elwes, visiting the Golden Girls pop-up restaurant in Chicago, taking my son to his first concert, taking my kiddo to see "Hamilton" for their birthday... Some of those are so specific that I'm not sure what I will use but it's almost as fun for me to scrap the thing & reminisce about it as it is experiencing it. I'm also getting married and going on a mini-moon in September. A wedding album seems overwhelming to me so I will likely create a photobook without journaling or elements and have that printed while I slowly work through actually scrapping the wedding photos once they come in. Our honeymoon has changed from an international trip to a short US-based mini-moon as we save up more money so that's actually less stressful for me to think about and plan to scrap.

I have a running list but not sure what will happen first. 1. We will be traveling to Spain in a month, so I want to get a TN set up to use while there and also plan ahead of a full album I will create later. 2. My son will be a HS senior next fall, so want to start planning to a senior album. 3. Need to document a NYC trip from March. 4. I need to rethink my PL approach because it is not working for me and don't want to just give up on 2023. 5. Need to go through all of my stamps and donate/sell some. I bought a ton this past year as a pretty new stamper and now I need to go back through and figure out what I want to keep and will use. 6. Need to create a good tracker for all projects in general. I create lists but I really need an online list that I can keep going back to to track what I have completed, planned, in process so I have a comprehensive view.

I'm looking forward to digging into my new (mostly Doodlebug) supplies and making some fun cards. I'm working on a couple of charity drive projects right now (red white and blue cards and repurposing old card fronts into new cards for seniors) but soon I'm going to get to play with cute new papers and die cuts Bigger project which I'm not exactly looking forward to is figuring out how to rework an old album of a trip I took to China. The album is a sketchbook, large and difficult to store, and the trip was with an almost-ex-boyfriend and a bunch of his random friends, the final straw really, just before I met my husband. I want to remember the good parts of the trip (China in 1999 was very interesting) but the snarky album I made back then isn't the way... I plan to revise the stories and make some digital pages to highlight the few photos I was actually in. Luckily I already had the negatives digitized and I have scanned my notes from the time. I might decide that this particular trip doesn't deserve to live forever on paper.

My next big scrapbook thing is going to be a trip to scrapbook.
We leave in 10 days for 16 days to Scotland and Ireland. I already have a box of new goodies waiting for me when I get home it is mostly the new 49 and market everywhere collection (I love it so much).
I also had a new neighbour move in, I live in the middle of nowhere so by neighbour I mean about 1km away and we just met the other day and chatted a bit about each other and she is a scrapbooker!! So excited that I might have someone I can scrapbook with on a regular basis.
