Happy scrapbook surprises. I have working on separating my cardstock and patterned paper, for storage purposes. I just finished this task. In doing so, I went through all my paper. Much to my surprise I came across 20 sheets of Basic Grey paper(only three sets of duplicates), that I had apparently sorted by dominant color. They are now residing in the Basic Grey storage envelope, with the other Basic Grey paper and embellishments. Such a pleasant surprise to find! What have you found in your product stash, that was a pleasant surprise for you to find?

Not a surprise exactly, but when Distress inks first came out I bought about 20 of them, decided I did not like them because they did not stamp crisp (duh on me, they are Distress) and threw them in a drawer. Fast forward about 10-15 years and mixed media became more of a thing and scrapbookers were using Distress inks in different ways. I dug them out and to my shock they were perfectly fine, not dried out at all, still work great. I was VERY happy and surprised!

I found a pack of paper, probably from Michaels?, that I bought and forgot about. Not my colors at all, although pretty. Decided to start planning to scrap my dd’s high school senior photos…she graduated in 2020 and not only was I not actively scrapbooking at that time, but having all the exciting events cancelled was such a disappointment. Anyway, I came across that pack of paper, and it matches beautifully with all of her photos. Example: We had them taken in late summer during golden hour and there’s a field of flowers in the photos that are perfectly mimicked in the paper. I’m so excited to start now!

i found a 12x12 graduation album that i intended to list on etsy in 2016. it was never listed and i forgot about it.
this week a friend sent me photos for her daughter’s graduation. i sent her photos of the album and offered it to her. all she has to do is change the year.
she accepted. i feel great knowing it’s headed to a good home.
