I am thinking ahead to designing my new craft room . . . and wondering if anyone has found a shelf system that holds the 14" x 14" x 3 1/8" boxes? The Kallax and Michaels storage shelves are not not big enough. May be designing a custom rolling table to go in my room. But crafting will need to be much more "stealth" that my craft cave currently serves.

I think there is an ikea shelf line (Heba? hefta? havft? Starts with an H) that has 15 in deep shelves.

I have several of the 12 x 12 storage boxes(one inch and the three inch high), I have them on this one of these carts. They do overhang slightly, but I am fine with that. I bought two additional shelves, and tossed the baskets. I have them stacked on the bottom row, two stacks fit side by side. I love that rolls and is portable. www.walmart.com/ip/Atlantic-Cart-System-3-Tier-Wide-Black/202420680They also have a four shelf cart.

I have an assortment of Iris boxes stored to the side of my IKEA Kallax unit. I think it would fit in that area! It gets annoying stacking and restacking them. Two shelves would help.

There's an iris cart that hold the boxes. I highly recommend it. Much better than stacking!

Thank you for the links. I own the second one complete with boxes. I own an additional 17 Iris cases, the carts do not come without cases
caangel The HAVSTA cabinets may be the way I choose to go, by combining three of the lower cabinets. Planning an Ikea hack to make a rolling work table built on these cabinets as a base. A big bonus is that these are solid pine except the rear panel. Thinking heavy duty casters under the entire table. This will not happen until sometime next fall . . . moving, lake life, unpacking will all come before crafting!

If you are open to the idea of stacking individual cubes, ArtBin Super Satchel Cube is a good option. You can configure it for the regular cases, the deep ones, or the really thin ones. Click on the photos in the link to see some different configurations. It does not come with cases, just the cube. They are pricey, but they go on sale. If you live near San Diego, I could give you a couple that don't fit in my current craft room.

I have this problem too. I have about 20 boxes and they are such a pain to stack and unstack. I have them on a wire shelving unit (like the kind you put in your basement or garage) but they are still 4 deep and I'm too lazy to keep stacking and unstacking.

I have a single column Billy bookshelf that's roughly 7 ft tall and 15 in wide and probably 12ish in deep. It holds them nicely, but they do stick out the front a few inches. It has several shelves in it and I have the cases 3 on a shelf.
Is the line the Hemnes line? I'd look myself, but I'm meant to be looking at houses and I'm already distracted here!

We ended up custom building shelves because I couldn’t find anything within my budget that would fit everything I had, especially my albums and Iris boxes.

Currently all of my iris bins are stored upright, and have been for years. Some items slide to the bottom edge, however nothing has been damaged. jennoconnell Nope unfortunately I am currently in Oregon moving to Minnesota! Thanks for the offer!

angel97701 -I have the older Recollections cubes from Michaels (with the 3 shelves that make 4 spaces) and I just checked and my Iris cases (from their rolling cart) fit well

It has several shelves in it and I have the cases 3 on a shelf. I have 2 of the Billy bookcases to store my Iris 12x12 and find it works really well even with the couple inches sticking out. My cases are stacked 3 to 5 to a shelf and I can fit 22 cases on the one Billy. I wanted to pick up and extra shelf when I bought mine to even the cases vs shelves but they were sold out.

I use the same type of shelves, they are about 5 high I think. But I don’t store everyday supplies in them, but rather different projects so it’s easy to pull one out when I want to work on it.
