As a local real estate agent, I had to go dig on this one. The showing instructions say to expect a tour to take a minimum of 2 hours. LOL Property taxes are only $59k per year.

Property taxes are only $59k per year. My property taxes are around that. I don't have a fancy house though, with plunge pools and casita's. I don't even have a garbage disposal.  |

Farm in Western Iowa where farm ground sells from $10K to 20K an acre and property tax rates are skyrocketing. So it's always fun to get the 'farmers get welfare from the government' thrown in our faces all the time. Property and income taxes are significant. |

I wonder how many of the acres they have ag exemption on? That would help keep the tax bill down. Then again, it was operating as a business (house and casitas), so that's probably a different rate. |

It looks like a beautiful property. A couple of things come to mind. How much water do they go through to keep the grounds so green? Wasn’t Houston on the list of dangerous places to live linked here a couple of days ago. Due to the changing weather. And finally, although it is beautiful, it is still Texas so unfortunately, their abortion laws have soured me on the state.
