Here we go again. Protecting trump instead of holding him accountable for his actions. I remember this and once trump caught wind of this text between Strzok and Page and with what Strzok had/was investigating the couple became the “star” of his tweets. And you know how he gets when he identifies his perceived enemies. So he should be deposed. The idea that trump’s hounding the couple had nothing to do with the decision to fire them, well if you believe it didn’t then I know this bridge in SF you can buy real cheap. The irony of this whole thing is it was a couple of FBI Agents in the New York office who were chummy with Rudy Giuliani was the reason why Comey released the letter about nothing 11 days before the 2016 election which caused Hillary to lose the election. Comey was afraid those agents would leaked the information to Giuliani so to protect the FBI he released the letter. Now I wonder if those agents lost their jobs? My guess is no. From ABC News… “ Justice Department moves to block Trump deposition after ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok sues over firing”
From the article… “A week after FBI director Christopher Wray was deposed in a lawsuit over the firing of veteran agent Peter Strzok, the Justice Department is now asking a federal judge to -- once and for all -- block former President Donald Trump from being deposed in the suit. "[T]he deposition of former President Trump is not appropriate," Justice Department attorneys wrote in a motion to fully quash a subpoena to Trump. Strzok filed suit against the Justice Department and the FBI in 2019, claiming his First Amendment rights were violated when he was wrongfully terminated the year before over private text messages with then-FBI attorney Lisa Page reflecting anti-Trump sentiments. In 2016, Strzok had helped launched the FBI's investigation into alleged ties between Trump's presidential campaign and Russia, and he initially joined special counsel Robert Mueller's team but was reassigned after internal investigators discovered the private text messages. The lawsuit alleges that Strzok's firing "was the result of a long and public campaign by President Trump and his allies to vilify Strzok and pressure the agency to terminate him." The federal judge presiding over the case, U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson, has called Trump "a key witness to what took place." But after much legal wrangling, Berman Jackson ruled that Strzok couldn't depose Trump without deposing Wray first, concluding that Wray's statements could render Trump's deposition moot, especially if Wray were to say under oath that the FBI's deputy director -- not Wray -- made the decision to fire Strzok and that he never discussed Strzok's firing or Trump's views about it with the deputy director.“ Good!

Let me give you a history lesson.. 2017 CA recorded 9,270 wildfires that burned a total of 1,548,429 acres and caused 47 deaths. In Sonoma, Napa, & Lake Counties there were three fires that burned/merged around the same time. Total acres burned 245,000 acres, number of deaths 44, number of structures burned 8,900 the majority were people’s homes. 2018 8,527 wildfires reported. 1,975,000 acres burned and 105 deaths reported. 24,000 structures burned which was pretty much the town of Paradise, CA Sonoma, Napa & Lake counties were quiet. 2019 Total number of fires reported 7,148, number of acres burned 277,285, number of deaths 3. In Sonoma, Napa & Lake county number of acres burned 77,758. No deaths and 374 structures burned. New wrinkle 186,000 people of Sonoma County were under mandatory evacuation orders. 2020 Total number of fires reported 9,917. Total number of acres burned 4,397,809. 10,000+ structures burned with 33 deaths. In Sonoma, Napa, & Lake counties 67,484 acres burned, 1,555 structures were destroyed, over 600 were homes. No deaths. 2021 8,835 fires reported, 2,568,948 acres burned. 3,600 structures burned with 3 deaths. Sonoma, Napa, & Lake Counties No fires 2022 - Quiet year 7,477 fires reported. 331,360 acres burned with 9 deaths. Sonoma, Napa, & Lake counties. No fires. When I say no fires that is no big fires. There are more then a few fires but the firefighters have been able to stop them before they really take off. We are now entering prime wildfire season here in CA and in most of the West. With the highest temperature and with little or no rain in a lot of the places that will be impacted if fires start. Fighting fires is no picnic even at the best of times. But many of these fires are fought on hills and literally in ravines. And these guys are fighting the fires 24/7 and without the help of aircraft dropping retardant and water at night when it’s their best chance to make progress in containing them. And then there are the people directly impacted who lose their homes and even in some cases their lives. CA and other Western States have had more than their fair share of wildfires these last several years Since now is considered prime wildfire season CDF of Sonoma, Napa, & Lake counties wanted the residents to know they are ready to fight any fires that come this way. I simply wished them a quiet year which based on the last several years that might be nice for them. I mean seriously one of the hardest jobs has to be fighting these fires. It would be nice if these guys had a couple of seasons with no big fires. And it would nice if there were a couple of years where people didn’t have to worry about losing their homes or their lives to fire. And you come storming on here like some 5 year old stomping her feet because I didn’t post what you thought I should. You do understand how a public board works right? That one gets to decide what they want to post/share without a toddler stamping her feet because said person didn’t post what she thinks they should have posted. Because that is basically what you did. There is the handy dandy little ignore button on this board which I suggest you use it. I don't need a condescending lecture on California fires. It's not the only post you've made recently about California wildfires. But, California is not the only western state with wildfires. Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, Colorado and other states as well as Canada all suffer from wildfires. With all of your posts and lectures on climate change, it's surprising that you have not posted about Canadian wildfires. More than 1500 firefighters from around the world, including 600 Americans, are helping the Canadian firefighters. Posting about California wildfires in the middle of the worst Canadian wildfire season in history with more than 20 million acres burned is a little insensitive as well as tone deaf to Canadians and the millions of Americans suffering from the smoke. And yes, it's a public board. People are allowed to express their opinions, even if they're different from yours. And you might actually benefit or learn something from someone else's perspective.

John Roberts whined again by blaming the minority justices for the Courts low approval ratings.
You can tell he’s a Republican at heart for blaming everyone else while ignoring the simple truth the recent decisions have not been popular with a chunk of Americans starting with the overturning Roe v Wade last year.

Interesting, Kayleigh McEnany knows how to tell the truth!! Fox News contributor Kayleigh McEnany shot down speculation that Hunter Biden had left cocaine inside the White House. President Joe Biden's son, who has candidly discussed his past crack cocaine addition, was not at the White House when the drug was found Sunday, but he had been there Friday and then joined other family members there on the Fourth of July, but McEnany cited her own experience there to knock down the rumors, reported Newsweek. "There is no way. It is inconceivable to think cocaine can sit [at the White House] for a 72-hour period," McEnany said. "So I would rule him out at this point." McEnany worked in the White House as Donald Trump's press secretary, and the former president himself was among the Republican public figures to blame Hunter Biden for the cocaine found by Secret Service agents. "Does anybody really believe that the COCAINE found in the West Wing of the White House, very close to the Oval Office, is for the use of anyone other than Hunter & Joe Biden," Trump posted on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday. The cocaine was reportedly found in a public area where visitors enter the West Wing. "It couldn't have been there for days and days," McEnany said on Fox & Friends. "It had to have been there for — I would say — minutes before someone took notice." www.rawstory.com/cocaine-white-house/#cxrecs_s

Look out Florida. There are cases of malaria there with no one in charge of your health. Please do not share it with us!! Weeks after four malaria cases were detected in Florida, state officials are struggling to fill two important public health positions, Rolling Stone reports. On Thursday, July 6, NBC exclusively reported the vacant roles "are in the Florida Health Department's Bureau of Epidemiology, which plays a key role in monitoring and combating the spread of disease in the state." Florida International University an infectious disease expert Dr. Aileen Marty, told NBC News, "These are critical public health functions," adding, "There has, unfortunately, been recent politicization of the use of vaccines and health services for refugees and other immigrants, which may explain the challenges in filling this vital position." www.rawstory.com/florida-leaders-face-challenges-in-filling-critical-public-health-roles-as-malaria-cases-emerge-2662249709/

Just another GOP pres candidate, 'do as I say, not as I do'
Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy owns “valuable investments in many companies” that embrace the socially conscious practices that he has slammed in a book and his campaign, the New York Times reported today.
Ramaswamy, a 37-year-old tech entrepreneur, has been making headlines attempting to run to the right of Trump on the culture war and many other issues, as Raw Storyreported.
But the Times report cited financial disclosures filed with the Federal Election Commission — first revealed today by Raw Story — to show that his anti-woke rhetoric isn’t backed up with his investments.
“Ramaswamy has caught the interest of primary voters with fiery critiques of the socially conscious practices of U.S. corporations, which he laid out in a book, “Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam,” the Times reported.
“But Mr. Ramaswamy himself owns valuable investments in many companies that have embraced environmental, social and governance principles, known as E.S.G. — the kinds of 'woke' corporate practices he decries.”
And the Times added this: “While many of the companies in which Mr. Ramaswamy holds an interest are household names, they are also leaders in the corporate movement to address social and environmental issues."
The outlet added:
“Among the companies that Mr. Ramaswamy is invested in are Microsoft (his holdings are valued from $1 million to $5 million), Home Depot ($250,000 to $500,000), Lockheed Martin ($500,000 to $1 million) and Waste Management ($500,000 to $1 million). All adhere to various E.S.G. principles, according to reportsposted on theirwebsites.”
It is not the first time in his fledgling campaign that Ramaswamy has been called out for inconsistencies between his business activity and political rhetoric. In May, CNBC reported that the asset management company he co-founded was courting GOP officials despite his calls for businesses to stay out of politics.
“Ramaswamy built his White House bid around urging companies to stay out of politics,” CNBC reported. “What he doesn’t tell voters is the asset management firm he co-founded has engaged more with GOP officials behind the scenes than was previously known, according to private email correspondence reviewed by CNBC.”
The Times reported that Tricia McLaughlin, a senior adviser to Mr. Ramaswamy, said that he did not manage his own stock portfolio.
“The first time Vivek learned of these positions was when he saw this financial disclosure report,” Ms. McLaughlin said on Friday. “Vivek’s stock portfolio is independently managed by a third party. The filer has authority to make trades and invest in stocks without his expressed consent or knowledge.”

Surprised Paxton’s name isn’t on that list but maybe he’s too busy with his impeachment hearings.
Also a little surprised the FL attorney general didn’t make the list either.
