I used to use Glue Glider Pro, but moved on to the Nuvo maxi solid tape runner. I can only find two online stores in the US that have them in stock, and I’ve never heard of either store. I love them. Why are they so hard to find right now? Are they not producing them anymore? 😢 If not, I have no idea what to try once my stash runs out. Help!

I am not familiar with either of those. I have recently tried the 3L/Scrapbook Adhesives and I think I kind of love them (I have EZ Dots repositionable with EZ Dots permanent on the way). They seem to mostly be available online, both the runners and the refills.
I also use the Tombow Mono, though it's definitely more my second choice/back up at this point. They are readily available at Joann and Michael's, which is sometimes a life saver.

I know it's hard for me to find my adhesive refills for my Xyrons. Permanent is slightly easier to find than Repositional. I was told by the one company that they were still having production issues so it's hard to order in.

I think I bought the last Glue Glider Pro refill in existance, KikiPea I had an Amazon subscription that sourced them for me every 6 weeks or so. But finally they notified me that they could no longer fulfill my order. I replaced that system with the EZ Runner Grand. The applicator is light weight and handles much like the glue glider pro. The refills hold alot more tape, and are less expensive. I am not so happy with the adhesiveness, though. Doesn't seem to hold as well. Need to remind myself to press each piece after sticking down.

I recommend the original E-Z Runner (Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L), which I've exclusively used for almost two decades!

This was my biggest headache and I hated it! As soon as I settled into a favorite adhesive it would poof and disappear forever. 😑 I finally went to an ATG and get my refills from Tape Jungle during coupon code events. Can’t beat the price and it’s nice having so many extras on hand too. I should note I tried to go to an ATG about 15 years ago and hated it. This time I couldn’t believe I had waited so long to switch.

I figured out how to work with it, but I bought another one (pink) on a 60% off sale at Michaels years ago and it has been solid. The price per inch is so much cheaper than any other tape I have tried. I buy about 3 dozen rolls at a time and then forget about it for a long time.

I am another E-Z Runner fan, like what PaperAngel recommended. I have only been using it ~3-4 years or so but I love it.

I recommend the original E-Z Runner (Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L), which I've exclusively used for almost two decades! Since you are a longtime user, PaperAngel , I have a question. How is the adhesive on your old layouts or projects holding up? I used a different tape runner for about 10 years before I noticed that my older layouts were falling apart.

I exclusively scrapbook (& live on the East Coast/humid climate), & my older layouts are still intact.

I tried the pink ATG and liked it at first but the refills were awful. The tape wouldn’t come off properly. It was like they’d left it out in the heat too long and it melted. Plus I could no longer even find refills. I went back to Tombow.

I swear by the Scrapbook Adhesives brand, been using their products since the 90's (they are the same photo splits as CM used to sell and put their name on) and nothing has come loose from my pages. Been using the E-Z Runner since the early 2000's.

The thing that has impressed me so quickly about the SA EZ Runners is the feel -- both the ergonomics of how it sits in the hand and the feel of how it puts the tape down. There's something really effortless and almost elegant about using these that nothing else I've tried even comes close to.

Love my ATG guns. I have been using for over 12 years now. I have both a red and pink one that I keep loaded. I go thru a ton of adhesive so it’s definitely the cheapest way to go. I will say though only the Scotch ATG Gold is the best to use in the guns. I have tried other versions of Scotch brand tape and they don’t measure up. In fact, I just got a dozen of the gold last week so I sb set for a while.
I also like the Teresa Collons Megarunner. They no longer make the one I have which is pink. I just ordered a couple of refills for it too as I use it on certain projects that I don’t use ATG for.
I love tear tape too. I typically have a variety of different sizes on hand. Lastly, I use Art Glitter Glue for projects that require heavier gluing or if I want to add glitter.

When I chose what kind of adhesive to use when I started this hobby, I chose the CM tape runner and the ATG gun. Why CM? I still care about acid-free & lignin free issues. Trust me, you have no idea how quickly problems can develop. I've seen some really sad and disgusting paper issues in my work as a curator. Why ATG? Framers aren't going out of business as rapidly as scrapbooking companies. I also use a lot of adhesive and economically the ATG tapes make the most sense. I use Elmer's when I need a liquid adhesive. Museum training influences this choice. It's also easy to dilute if you're working with thinner papers. I have never had a page fall apart or any element come loose.
