Because I NEED to talk about Ted Lasso.
No spoilers in the OP but I did scream so loud at the end all three of the humans in this house and the dog came running to see if I was ok. - Airport scene.
Also, Brendan Hunt is such a gem of a comedic actor. They just give him enough runway and let him do his thing and it's always fun.

Oh my gosh—the last several episodes were phenomenal.
Trying not to put spoilers, but the character development of Colin and Trent and Isaac and Sam and Jamie and…..I could go on and on.
The ending was great and I’ve been singing Hey Jude for DAYS.
Plus, Roy Kent has been my favorite and that definitely hasn’t changed with this season.
What a great show and I’m sad to see it end.

Loved it and was hoping it might continue without Ted as he wasn't on screen much for a few of the episodes. However they tied it up well in the finale, such a wonderful show with great actors and will miss it.

I also loved Ted Lasso. I like how it kind of leaves you feeling like it can go on... It was nice to enjoy something without crime, death, dystopian themes. If you haven't checked out Shrinking, I would recommend, Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) is a creator for that show. Kind of hits the same emotional tones.
Altho, I find myself wishing men I know IRL would have the same emotional intelligence as the characters on the show....

Wonderful finale for a wonderful show though.

It wasn’t perfect like Shawshank, Jaws or Trent’s hair but it was pretty darn close.

We loved it. This is definitely an episode that needs a rewatch as there were so many tie ins to previous episodes and beyond that the first watch should be just for enjoyment purposes.
I did read that Mae adjusted the picture in her bar and it was the same picture in the Cheers bar. There are so many little attention to details that just make you so appreciative of how good this show is. And while I’m sad it’s over I applaud them for knowing this was a 3 season story arc. Knowing where a show will end makes for a far superior show.
There are rumors of a spin-off and I think the women’s league may be the hint that was dropped.

oh, Tito get me a tissue! that was a wonderful, wonderful ending! one thing that bothered me throughout this whole series spoiler below.. was how could he be so far from his son for so long? He did the right thing and everyone had a wonderful ending and they managed to do plenty of unexpected at the same time. I'm so sad to see it end!

That was a really good ending. I really loved that show. I could have used more of Roy interacting with his niece... the Christmas bad breath episode is my all time favorite.

It was a great ending. I am hoping it carries on as "The Richmond Way".
My favorite part was when Rebecca ran into the Dutchman.

I don't want them to try and spin it off. Maybe, Maybe with the women's team. But I stick by the idea that they had a plan for 3 seasons and executed that plan.
and yes, my favorite scene was Rebecca and the hot Dutch houseboat guy. I literally started screaming when he was the pilot. I desperately wanted them together at the end.
Also, Keely pushing their desks together so they could all work as a team - the Richmond way.

Loved it too. So much. Some other things that I liked that I don't think were mentioned yet: - Trent and his Golden Girls shirt. - Barbara and her thirst for blood. - Colin kissing his fella after the game. - Sassy lobbing insults at Rupert is always nice. - The look on Rupert's face when the entire stadium of his formerly beloved team called him Wanker. - John, the guy Rebecca briefly dated, and his lady attending the game and him getting hit in the face - agh!
- Sharon watching the game, with much enthusiasm, on TV and then joining the team permanently as counselor. Perhaps something Roy as Coach made happen? And Roy working on himself!
- Rebecca's poor housekeeper once again walking in on undressed people. - Nate and one of his decorated boxes. - Nate's very genuine sorry to Ted.
- Beard's first name is Willis!
- Jamie reconciles with his father. - Nate at a beautiful family dinner with Jade. And some questions: - Did Michelle break up with Dr. Jacob? He was really obnoxious while watching the game and wasn't seen at the house when Ted arrived. Or at the soccer game.
- Sam left Richmond and is on the Nigerian team permanently?!
- Did Mae have a huge stack of Richmond shares or just one?!

Ellie, some answers - John, the guy Rebecca briefly dated, and his lady attending the game and him getting hit in the face - agh!
That's who that was?! I had no idea but figured he was someone I should have known. - Did Michelle break up with Dr. Jacob? He was really obnoxious while watching the game and wasn't seen at the house when Ted arrived. Or at the soccer game.
I got the impression she broke up with him, but I could be wrong.
- Sam left Richmond and is on the Nigerian team permanently?!
I don't know permanently, I prefer to think on loan to achieve the dream. After all he still has the restaurant.
- Did Mae have a huge stack of Richmond shares or just one?!
I took it as a huge stack. As in the boys all got one share together and Mae got a stack.

I just got back from my son’s graduation from a school in my district that only serves those with severe disabilities. They only graduate when they age out in the year they turn 22. This was taped up in the gym where graduation was also held (10 students graduated):

I loved it all and will miss it! I somehow knew that --- airport scene -- was going to happen and kept telling DH that they'd meet again. elaine, I love that your DS's [now former] school did that with the sign - very appropriate! And congrats on his graduation.

Love this show! I thought season 3 went a bit sideways compared to the first two, so I'm glad they didn't try to stretch it out further.
Some of the best characters ever created.

I don't know how to do spoiler's boxes but I think I can say this and not spoil anything. In the UK premier league it is typical for international players to go home to play for their countries, like Dani and Van Damme did earlier in the season.

Ted Lasso fans might look for @thetedlassoeffect on IG. They’ve been posting some great callback moments in the show which are not only fun to watch, but reinforce how well thought out this show was.

Some of the best characters ever created. for me, it was just really predictable. I felt like the characters were caricatures of themselves. At least until the last 3 episodes - then it started to be fun again.

I really enjoyed this show and loved the positive messages.
I am absolutely not offended by the language used in the show or the sex scenes, but have often thought that it is too bad that it makes it not suitable for the younger kids who might also benefit from the messages of believing in yourself, redemption, etc. Maybe they can do a Ted Lasso lite version. Lol

I avoided this thread until I finished watching - I really enjoyed the finale. I'm going to miss it. This show had such amazing writing and acting...just such wonderful character development. The Sound of Music take off!
Oh my goodness - I just loved that!!
My favorite part was when Rebecca ran into the Dutchman.
I thought that might happen but wasn't sure - I loved that too and that he had a child since Rebecca was thinking of having one but apparently isn't able to do so.

I thought season 3 went a bit sideways compared to the first two, I thought so, too. Parts of it were pointless. I still loved it and they ended up hitting it out of the park in the final episode. My favorite part was when Rebecca ran into the Dutchman. Mine, too!

- Sam left Richmond and is on the Nigerian team permanently?!
- Did Mae have a huge stack of Richmond shares or just one?! An answer to some of the questions I read an interview with Brendan Hunt and he said that Michelle and Dr. Jacob broke up but it's purposely left ambiguous about what that means about Ted & Michelle. He said the only thing we know for certain is that they are both committed to being great parents.
He said that Sam is playing for the Nigerian National Team (you can be on both a national team and on a league team) due to widespread outcry about his exclusion. In the interview I reference in the spoiler, Brendan Hunt also said that they genuinely haven't decided about spinoffs yet. He said obviously it's something they are thinking about but they need to take a break, do some other things and then they'll get back together to talk about it and make a decision. He said the decision may be "no" but that it hasn't been ruled out. Of course yesterday AppleTV tweeted a photo of Roy, Nate and Beard and said "It smells like potential" and Nick Mohammed retweeted it with a zipped lip emoji. So I suspect the decision has already been made but they'll sit on it for awhile before making an official announcement.
