Updating this question because I saw a youtbe thumbnail that made me think I might have misunderstood. 1. Sideways (vertical) titles Like this: sometimes. ETA: Guess this would be stacked, not sideways. My Love Bunny makes me Happy This way: NeverL o v e B u n n y Here is an example of what I'd call a sideways title. Maybe adding vertical made it confusing.

Yeah, or maybe I think too much. Everyone else seems to have understood. LOL. Yes, I would do that sometimes when the circumstances required it. Either necessity or aesthetics.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Yes, I am not adverse to them for words that are easily read in that orientation. However, I am not sure I ever actually used a vertical title... yet. I do use sideways titles fairly frequently if that is what is meant here. 2. Lots of white space - Yes...depending. I don't seem to have a particular style. I use inspiration to spur my page designs, which means sometimes pages are more full than other times. However, the eye does need places to rest, so all pages have at least 25-33% white space. Some have more. 3. Mixed media - YES! Love it when I have the time to do it. I have a good amount of mixed media supplies and I really like Vicki Boutin, Paige Evans, Dina Wakely, and Dyane Reavely for inspiration. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Yes, but I mostly use 4x6 because it is easiest to print and stick. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - No, I don't make my own kits. I have kits that I have purchased that I use and add to when I come across things that coordinate. I have manufacturer kits that I will add to, as well. Or, I pull papers and materials as I scrap, but I do not take the time to make a kit from scratch nor do I feel the need to.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - No - I've never even thought about it but maybe I'll try it now if it works for the layout. I have done titles around the shape of a circle.
2. Lots of white space - Not really. I tend to use multiple photos so not a lot of room for lots of white space.
3. Mixed media - No - I tend to stick to pattern paper but I do like pattern paper than looks like mixed media. I'm just not interested in creating it myself.
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Yes! I'll do smaller photos and larger photos. I like a mix in my pages.
5. DIY scrapbook kits - full, big, kits with 10+ pieces of pattern paper like I see people put together on YouTube and scrap with the kit for 5-6+ pages...no. I have put together page kits with photos - papers I think go well together with some embellishments and use those for 2-3 pages. I use these a lot at scrapbook retreats.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - infrequently 2. Lots of white space - sometimes but not often as I am typically a pocket SBer 3. Mixed media - sometimes, not often 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - yes - 6x8, 4x6, 3x4 and some 4x4. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - I don't assemble other than for a big project like WITL where I will pull from a collection + my stash to create a kit of things I can use throughout the album.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Yes to vertical, no to sideways. 2. Lots of white space - yes and no - it depends! 3. Mixed media - Yes, but probably not as often. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Yes - mostly smaller almost all the time. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - Yes always.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles: Yes, I will consider it if it's a short title OR if the title is the main star of the show. 2. Lots of white space: Yes! My favorite pages to make are "personality" pages with one photo and some journaling telling a fun quirk or story about the photo subject. 3. Mixed media: Yes! It's much easier to do digitally vs. on paper (especially since I can add it after I add papers and photos and journaling) so most of my pages have mixed media. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6: Yes. Since all of my photos are digital, I don't print them at 4x6 or any other size. 5. DIY scrapbook kits: No. This is the biggest advantage I think that paper scrapping has over digital. It's much harder (for me) to mix and match if I have to do it all on a computer screen vs. if I were to have it all in front of me to see.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Nope, I love them on other pages but always seem off on my own.
2. Lots of white space - Yes, may pages usually have some sort of white space.
3. Mixed media - Nope, same reason as sideways titles above. ha!
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Yes, a lot of my pages have multiples of smaller prints. I just got my large format printer set up properly and I am planning to do a LO with a big picture - 10x12, 12x12. I have to find the right picture.
5. DIY scrapbook kits - Not really. I used to when I went to day crops but now I mostly scrap at home.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - a big no from me. 2. Lots of white space - also a no. I like some white space, but not too much 3. Mixed media- Yes. I am getting braver and braver with mixed media. Love the look. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Sometimes. I usually use 4x6, but sometimes I will use another size. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - Yes. I love diy scrapbook kits and I also love youtube videos where they make them and use them.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Yup, my latest layout has a title running up the side.
2. Lots of white space - I do enjoy white space to give my eye a place to rest on a layout. If I use only patterned paper for a certain page, I will try to use a tone on tone paper to give a similar effect.
3. Mixed media - I dabble in inks and stenciling, so yes.
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - I am constantly switching up my photo sizes. I use all sorts of page protectors in my albums, anywhere from 12x12 all the way down to 4x6. Some are full pages, some are divided pockets. I print at home so I can make my photo whatever size or shape I need it to be. I currently use a lot of square shaped photos.
5. DIY scrapbook kits - All the time. In general, I store my papers by manufacturer. However, I do have a section of my Kallax dedicated to page kits I make myself for certain projects. My kits will generally include paper and some embellishments, maybe an alpha sticker. When my normal paper storage starts to overflow, I build page kits to move things around. Then I can justify buying more paper again. 😁

My answers echo a lot of those I see above 1. Sideways (vertical) titles YES - if I have to. About 1 out of 15 layouts. Prefer horizontal. 2. Lots of white space YES - love the look. Do I do it? No! 3. Mixed media YES - recognizing that it's a lot of work and time, so I only really get fancy about 10% of the time, but some of my all-time fave layouts were done with a MM background or MM components. Almost every card I make has some MM on it. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 YES - I print almost all my photos at both 3x4 and 4x6 so that I can play with sizes on layouts. I print my fave photos as 5x7 too. 5. DIY scrapbook kits It's complicated! This resonates with me 100%: NO: I exclusively scrapbook at home one page at a time in non-chronological order, enjoy mixing/matching supplies within/across manufacturers, & put supplies away as I go, so I have no need or interest in creating/buying/using kits. As does this: I don"t want to put a pack of Thickers, for example, into a scrapbook "kit" and then it is sort of not available for something else because it is sitting in a kit. BUT: I am currently working with a kit I put together to scrapbook a 5 day event. I only picked out papers and scraps. I am using my whole stash for alphas and embellies. I think the pages are coming out more cohesive/related to each other, which I really like for an event. I did this based on Shimelle's explanation about coordinating "stories" or "chapters" in your albums, which resonated with me because my general albums are certainly jarring contrasts from page to page! The pages don't feel "samey" at all but I am getting tired of not being able to reach into my stash for a new colour scheme!

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Yes, but only rarely. I just did a quick count through my gallery, and I've done a sideways title 7 times since my first post in 2014. 2. Lots of white space - Yes, occasionally, I love the look. 3. Mixed media - Yes. I love the subtle texture of just the packaging technique, but also like pages that have stencilling layered over it as well. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Yes, frequently! 5. DIY scrapbook kits - Yes, only for my Christmas album though. I do work from an embellishment kit the rest of the year, I just pull out things that inspire me and use these things to start the embellishing for all my pages.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Yes, although I don't often think of it. I have one album where I spread titles across vertical pockets in divided page protectors and I really liked it. I would say that I consider this more with shorter one or two word titles. 2. Lots of white space - Yes, a good amount of white space. I like things clustered together, so I have lots of layouts where my photos and embellishments are grouped, maybe with one other embellishment cluster, and then some breathing room around the main focal point. 3. Mixed media - Yes, although not as much as I should given all the supplies I have. There are ink splatters on most of my layouts, but I would like to do more inky backgrounds, embossing paste, etc. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Yes, I used to regularly use 5x7 photos, but now I am gravitating to having more small photos on my layouts (3.5x5 or 3x4) are some of my favourites. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - Heck yes! I am having so much fun combining my collections and making my old stash more fun by adding in newer pieces.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles: I like them and have done them, but usually do horizontal titles 2. Lots of white space: I also like this and do it on occasion, but usually have too many other photos I want to use, to do it. 3. Mixed media: Love it when other people do it, but I don't have a talent for it and usually am frustrated by the process. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6: Love this too, but don't do it much because it's one of those things I feel like I 'don't have time' to mess with. Not sure why b/c it's really easy to order other sizes through Snapfish, where I get ALL my pics. 5. DIY scrapbook kits: Love them!

I'm so ADHD, I can't do a quick yes or no! I'll try to be brief.
1. Sideways (vertical) titles- I rarely do titles
2. Lots of white space- maybe? more of a medium amount of white space3. Mixed media- no, like the look, too lazy4. Picture sizes other than 4x6- 3x45. DIY scrapbook kits-no, I try to do one page at a time. Keep it all in an Iris Case. I don't have a good system for DIY kits. I typically forget I've started them, misplace them, forget where that kit with the photos goes in what album...

Feel free to also tell if you like these options but don't do them yourself. 1. Sideways (vertical) titles - occasionally will do sideways titles 2. Lots of white space - occasionally use white space. My pages are usually photo-heavy. 3. Mixed media - frequently, but not so much with photo-heavy pages because it's just not very noticeable. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - most of my photos are cropped but started as 4x6. Pre-digital photos sometimes can't be cropped because I took lots of zoomed-in closeups. 5. DIY scrapbook kits- prepare them for crops and retreats only, not for use at home. I like all of these options, just don't use them except as noted.

Simply copy and paste and answer yes or no or explain your answer and tell us about your scrapbook choices. There are no right or wrong answers - just your personal preference. Feel free to also tell if you like these options but don't do them yourself.
1. Sideways (vertical) titles. Rarely 2. Lots of white space. Sometimes, depending on mood and # of photos 3. Mixed media No 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 Yes, I use 3X2 frequently 5. DIY scrapbook kit Yes, I love kitting up supplies

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Yes! I have also done circular title where it follows the circle as well as a title that goes horizontal to vertical.
2. Lots of white space - if the design I am going for calls for it, yes. Sometimes I want a clean, minimal layout to allow the photo to pop.
3. Mixed media - Sprays. Tried lunar paste and similar and just not my jam.
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - heck yes!
5. DIY scrapbook kits - if by that you mean I go through my stash and pull various companies/lines to use on a layout, yes. But I don't intentionally make them.
