Simply copy and paste and answer yes or no or explain your answer and tell us about your scrapbook choices. There are no right or wrong answers - just your personal preference. Feel free to also tell if you like these options but don't do them yourself.
1. Sideways (vertical) titles 2. Lots of white space 3. Mixed media 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 5. DIY scrapbook kits

1. Sideways (vertical) titles- No. I don't like to have to turn my head to read titles. My titles are always horizontal. 2. Lots of white space - No. A little, but not a lot. 3. Mixed media - Mostly no. I have a couple of sparkly sprays that I may feel bold enough to use on occasion. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Yes, quite often. I use Photosheet. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - No. I've tried it and it just doesn't work for me.

1, Sideways (vertical) titles. I like the look from time to time, and will do them if that fits a sketch I am using or the story I am telling.
2. Lots of white space. I like the look. But my own pages tend to have most of it covered up. I tend to add stuff til I have too much before I finish.
3. Mixed media. I love the look and sometimes enjoy playing with it. But I have no patience, so when I am scrapping I am more likely to grab a sheet of pp that only LOOKS like it has mixed media. If I played earlier and have a completed piece, I may grab that.
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6. I often print 5x7’s for feature photos. And I cut down my 4x6’s if they have too much background.
5. DIY scrapbook kits. No, I don’t enjoy the process.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles -occasionally but it's not a go-to for me 2. Lots of white space - some white space but not LOTS 3. Mixed media -I prefer the 'faux' mixed media papers 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - yes but usually due to cropping a 4x6, I do sometimes print larger sizes though 5. DIY scrapbook kits - my brain doesn't work like that

1. Sideways (vertical) titles…..almost never. 2. Lots of white space. No. I prefer color. 3. Mixed media. No. Too messy for me. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6. Sometimes. Depends on the layout and what I want to emphasize. 5. DIY scrapbook kits. Not often, but once in a rare while.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles I've done this before but I don't prefer vertical titles. 2. Lots of white space Nope, I don't want to waste space that could be holding photos. 3. Mixed media Depends on the type of mixed media, splattered paint or sprays I'll do occasionally but not much else on layouts. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 Yes, I use all sizes of photos on layouts. 5. DIY scrapbook kits Yes

Answers with the caveat that I'm a photobook scrapper and cardmaker now:
1. Sideways (vertical) titles - no, except on rare occasions where it really does work better on the page. 2. Lots of white space - no, I have a habit of filling most of the space with a giant photo (full bleed) or multiple photos and journaling. On cards too, I tend to use big die cuts or group small ones into big groupings. I never really got the trend of tiny photos on 12x12 pages - I would just print a much bigger photo or use a bunch of small photos. 3. Mixed media - no, not much. I've dabbled, and I like looking at other people's work, but don't like messy things and haven't gotten good enough at it to do it much/well. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - yes, almost always. I do scrap some photos at their out of the camera dimensions but mostly make 7x7" square books so I crop most photos. Back when I paper scrapped I tended to chop the boring bits off my photos and have the subject fill the frame (see discomfort with white space above) 5. DIY scrapbook kits - no, if you mean like pulling out a bunch of things to mix and match into a kit. I tend to use collections for cardmaking, and I'm not sure there's an equivalent for the photobooks I make that have very little "product" on them. I quit paper scrapping before I discovered Shimelle's BOBW type of kits.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles -- Yes, especially if it won't fit horizontal. I scrapbook 8.5 x 11.
2. Lots of white space -- No. I don't care for that style or look.
3. Mixed media -- Sometimes, if I can make it work and blend in with regular stuff. I am still in the beginner stage, in regards to mixed media. I do more of the mixed media style in my journal.
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 -- Yes. Bigger: I haven't done much upsizing in the past, and have recently started printing photos in bigger sizes. Smaller: I frequently with use smaller sizes, in addition to and around 4x6.
5. DIY scrapbook kits -- I haven't ever made my own kits, but I do piles (this with that, that with this, these with those, those with that, etc...and I will have lots of piles sitting around)...when I am in the "what do I want to use with these photos" stage. I have bought premade kits, and as soon as I get them home, I go through them and move the product I like into my stash. Then put what I don't want, in the donate pile.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Yes: it's not a go-to technique for me, but sometimes I'll do it if it fits the page layout better. 2. Lots of white space - Nope! Not my style at all - I like to use all the space I can for photos, story/journaling, titles, embellishments, etc. I like the look on other pages sometimes, but don't do it on mine. 3. Mixed media - Sure! Ink, spray, stamps, stencils...I don't do a ton with MM on scrapbook LOs, I use it more on cards. However, I like it and enjoy the process. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Sometimes: I generally use 4x6 but occasionally use something larger or smaller. I do crop 4x6 photos when needed, but not excessively. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - Nope! Not my style; they take all the fun out of it for me.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - Sometimes. I make them bold and usually love them. 2. Lots of white space Most often no. I like to get a few pics on most layouts. 3. Mixed media Rarely, but I am trying to change this. I have a bunch of stencils and bought a big ol bottle of that cloud whip from scrapbook.com. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 Love using smaller photos. Makes it easier to get more photos on a page. 5. DIY scrapbook kits Page kits? I make them in January for the previous year's pictures. Best way to go. I might now know what the OP meant by this. DIY kits sounds like a kit YOU make for yourself.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles No 2. Lots of white space Sometimes, but not often 3. Mixed media Sometimes, but mostly only for cards 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 Yes, of course 5. DIY scrapbook kits I don't really find it fun, so not really. Another thing, I don"t want to put a pack of Thickers, for example, into a scrapbook "kit" and then it is sort of not available for something else because it is sitting in a kit.

What are DIY scrapbook kits? A kit you design/put together yourself from your stash. Eta: or I guess you could shop for the stuff and then buy it.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - YES, on occasion when it works for the layout design
2. Lots of white space - YES: My simple/clean/linear/minimalist/"magazine-ish" style uses patterned paper sparingly & few embellishments (plus extensive journaling as part of the layout design).
3. Mixed media - YES, although minimal (ie stenciling, basic stamping, heat embossing, inking edges, splatters).
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - YES: I typically scrap 4x6 photos straight out of the camera, but sometimes slightly trim them to either eliminate unwanted background or use 6x6 patterned papers as mats, occasionally enlarge photos to 5x7 or larger, & very rarely use smaller photos (if only available as 3.5x5 or wallet sizes).
5. DIY scrapbook kits - NO: I exclusively scrapbook at home one page at a time in non-chronological order, enjoy mixing/matching supplies within/across manufacturers, & put supplies away as I go, so I have no need or interest in creating/buying/using kits.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles: Rarely 2. Lots of white space: Rarely, I seem to have a ton of photos to use 3. Mixed media: Yes please. However, I’m lazy and don’t use mixed media as much as I would like 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6: Yes, sometimes 5*7 or 4*4 or any size required to fit 5. DIY scrapbook kits: Nah. I just make stuff as I go or by collections I purchase or from classes I take

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - I don't think I've ever done this, but it sounds intriguing. 2. Lots of white space - I like a little, but not a lot. 3. Mixed media - Yes!! 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - I do this on almost every layout. 5. DIY scrapbook kit - Most of the time.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - it’s not my go to but I’d do them if the layout called For it 2. Lots of white space - not really. I like a place for the eye to rest but I also like lots of color and stuff and journaling which doesn’t leave much space for white space! 3. Mixed media- I like it but There’s not much space for it in my PL. I do some in DD. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - every layout. More pics are other sizes (small To fit more pics in the layout) than 4x6 since I’m a pocket scrapper. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - yes if that means gathering supplies from random groupings and making my own sort of kit to use. I love doing that.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles - No. I'll do vertical titles sometimes but they are never sideways. I'm not against it, though. Just hasn't happened yet. 2. Lots of white space - Sometimes. I usually have to have some kind of resting space but sometimes there is just too much on a page. I like the look, though. 3. Mixed media - Some- I splatter and do stencils. I stamp sometimes. Besides that, not often. I don't like how it warps the paper. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 - Yes. I print 5x7s, 4x4s, and 2x3s sometimes. I also crop photos to irregular sizes. When I want to get 4 on a page, I have to crop them down. 5. DIY scrapbook kits - Sometimes. I don't have one set way to scrap. I do buy NJFB kits, however, and add my own stuff to them.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles No - I have a hard enough time getting horizontal titles straight 2. Lots of white space Yes - but it depends on the layout. I vary between one pic layouts with lots of white space, and layouts with a bunch of pictures and not so much white space 3. Mixed media - Honestly, not really - but I like to think I'm doing it when I use a little paste 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 Absolutely! 5. DIY scrapbook kits Sort of - It's a past history thing. When I used to go to weekend crops, I would make kits. Also there was a time a couple of years ago that I thought we were going to have to live in an apartment for a year while we built a new house, so I made a year's worth of kits. Never did make it to the apartment (we did get the new house built!) and I think I still have a few of those kits laying around somewhere. Now, I have a beautiful scrap room and I love having everything around me so I can pick and choose as I go.
Edited to add - I wrote this before I read most of the previous answers. Now that I've read some of those I think I'm doing more mixed media than I thought I was!

1. Sideways (vertical) titles--yes. 2. Lots of white space--yes. 3. Mixed media--sometimes, or I'm trying to do this more often. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6-- yes! If I only have one photo, I will try to print it as a 5 by 7. 5. DIY scrapbook kits-- Like page kits? Yes, I make them. Do I actually use them? Occasionally but what usually happens is I know I have something, like a certain die cut, or a washi tape, I search everywhere for it, and find it three months later in a page kit I made but never used...

1. Sideways (vertical) titles: While not my preference at all, I cut down 12x12 to 8.5x11 and there are times the paper has a title and I need that 11 inches to include it. So I have to turn it.
2. Lots of white space: No. I fill up the space
3. Mixed media: I do not use many techniques so while I like mixed media I don't use it very often
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6: Almost all of my photos are printed as either 2 or 4 photos on a 4x6. Most of my photos are other than 4x6. I also do 4x4 sometimes.
5. DIY scrapbook kits: no. If I pick up a kit for some reason I make quite a few changes so it will use elements but not look anything like the instructions. I can see how some people love this way of scrapping but it just doesn't work for me for many reasons.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles Yes sometimes. Depends on the other elements on the l/o. I have split a title, part horizontal, part vertical. 2. Lots of white space Not a lot, if I'm understanding "white space". I usually end up feeling like I need to add more stuff. 3. Mixed media Can't really say since I'm just now trying it out. But it sure is messy. Well, the way I do it. 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 Yes, I crop photos. But I do like the look of having the same size photos on a l/o. 5. DIY scrapbook kits I'm not very successful at this. In the past I've pre-made several l/o backgrounds and almost always find them hard to use. Putting together a "kit" is fun but I think I need to know the photos I'm going to use before I do this. Fun questions Elsabelle.

1. Sideways (vertical) titles--yes, fun in moderation 2. Lots of white space--hmmm i prefer medium amounts, no sticker sneeze but since switching from 12 x 12 to 8 1/2 x 11, I see all the open space on my older layouts and just want to scrunch it all together 😅 3. Mixed media--sure but I suck at it 4. Picture sizes other than 4x6--yes I often do 3 x4s due to my aforementioned canvas size change 5. DIY scrapbook kits--YES helps me use my stash so much more!!!

1. Sideways (vertical) titles Yes I have done this in the past. The only titles I don’t like are the ones where one word is broken up into 2-3 lines like ADV ENT URE That drives me nuts!
2. Lots of white space Yes
3. Mixed media Yes I don’t go all out like Vicki Boutin does, but I do like an inky background. I’d say I use it on about 1/2 of my LO’s.
4. Picture sizes other than 4x6 100%! I do still scrap 4x6 photos, but I’d say a majority of mine are 3x2 (and usually at least 2 photos) or 4x3. No matter how many I use…1+, I always make sure my photos stand out. I don’t bury them in product.
5. DIY scrapbook kits No I don’t like taking the time to put kits together. I also have never subscribed to a kit club because I like picking my own things and don’t want to spend money on things I know I won’t use, with the exception of Hip Kit Club that has many exclusive items.
