Do you like when a scrapper shows and discusses their supply choices at the beginning of the video or do you prefer for them to get right into scrapping? Also, do you prefer a longer, real time speed or for the video to sped up? If you like them sped up do you prefer 2x, 4x, other?

I like a quick overview of products at the beginning and then a more detailed list at the end.
I DO want the presenter to get right into the demo. Chitchat greeting friends at the beginning bugs me.
I like the parts of the demo that are new and different shown in real time, with the presenter discussing reasons for choices, special tricks and tips as they go along.
But the humdrum routine steps could be sped up. Not sure how fast.

No chitchat - I prefer a list of supplies in the comment/description section and I would like them to jump right into the process. Short and sweet is my preference - I don't have the patience for a long, rambling video

But the humdrum routine steps could be sped up. Not sure how fast. I agree. Get to the demo quickly, show things that need to be seen in real time, speed up the repetitious or tedious parts, provide a supply list in comments below the video, give more detail when needed. I want to see how the technique is done, and I don’t want the video to drag on unnecessarily. Just based in the responses I saw when I did live card classes, some people may need their hand held through every little part of the demo, but I think they are probably the exception.

I don't mind if they show the supplies but often I'll skip ahead to the crafting. It's nice if people leave a time stamp or chapters so you can skip to the bit that you want to see. I will watch some people do the whole process in real time but usually that means I'm crafting alongside and not really watching as such. I need to like the person's chitchat style and energy to watch live and I almost always watch the replay so I can skip the greetings to all the live viewers. If I'm watching to learn how to do a specific thing I will jump ahead and in that case get annoyed if they faff around or show every single cut and fold. I also appreciate when I can see a preview of the finished item if it's a prerecorded video.
Personally I choose different styles for different moods or purposes. It can be nice to see how something is done in real time at first and then sped up. I get so used to sped-up ink blending and coloring I'm often shocked by how slow it is in real time! If someone is showing a sped-up version of their crafting I like to hear about their choices and thought process. Even though sometimes I roll my eyes at card video voiceovers that include every "and then I'll adhere this down" I prefer that to music or too much personal chitchat.
(Don't get me started about the phrase "adhering down" - what happened to just *sticking* things down?)

I like all the options at different times. Sometimes I only want to watch a short video that gets right into creating, sometimes I like to see the products up front and listen to the discussion about why product A was chosen instead of options B, C, and D, and sometimes I enjoy watching things like Shimelle and Victoria Marie's livestreams which show the product and everything in real time. I watch a lot (but not all) crafty videos in faster speed that the creator has posted which works better with those who speak slowly. I'm typically not watching the videos to learn new techniques, I just want to watch the project come together and be inspired to make something.

I started watching a couple brief scrapping process YT videos each week during the pandemic out of boredom & have continued. While I appreciate videos that open with the supply/tool choices, especially if mixing products across manufacturers, I dislike both live feeds & real time/stream of consciousness content, preferring videos that are edited with voiceovers. I can always fast forward or speed up the video, if preferred.

I’m usually crafting while watching so if I like your voice and personality I can watch/listen to most things. Don’t really care one way or the other about supplies. I’m past being enabled Do not prefer just music. Cuz then I’d have to pay attention. 🤣

Do not prefer just music. Same, I don't like music vs. voice overs. I'm fine if people use music to start and end their videos but not over the top of their creating. I prefer to hear someone explain their reasoning of why they chose what they did. I also prefer sped up videos, no more than 20 minutes in length, shorter the better. My faves are My Little Journal, Dearly Dee and Leilani Scraps for their concise and clear videos. I also love a white background vs. black background. If someone explains what they were doing in the photos I'm fine with that, as long as it doesn't go on too long. I also appreciate it when the content creator links their products in the video description.

I'm fine with showing supplies at the beginning but I don't need to see every single paper/embellishment shown separately - just a quick overview is preferred then I like to get right into the crafting. I generally watch all videos on 1.25 or 1.5x speed so it doesn't really make a difference to me if the scrapping is sped up. I also prefer no music.

The two main things I don't like for youtube videos are: Lives - I don't enjoy the long intros and the chit-chat. Videos with no voice overs, just music.
Otherwise, I am pretty flexible and my mood will dictate whose video I feel like watching.

Like others, I enjoy different things at different times, for different reasons! I don't mind some chit chat, but I do get annoyed with the videos that say Hi to a bunch of people. They know they are there. Just get on with it. That's just me. I like a showing of supplies, at least in part, because I do enjoy finding out people's reasons for picking product and putting together items etc. That's also what I like about longer process videos-finding out how people make choices, put things together, create projects. etc. I also don't like music over videos-usually because I think the music sucks! LOL! Those videos though are great for me to mute, turn on my CC, and I watch them while I'm on the treadmill. Gives me something to watch, but I don't have to really listen or pay attention. Kristi Marcotte videos are great for this. Speeding things up is ok as long as you don't go so fast with it that I get confused, or miss something.

I haven't watched scrapbook videos in a long time but my favorites were Shimelle and Mercy Tiara.
I also loved this girl in England that lived in a caravan. She was kind of "alternative" and her name had something about a cat in it. Does anyone know who I'm talking about? Her pages were really cool.
I like someone explaining the process as they go. I don't need a list of products at the beginning because I usually recognize the products. I don't mind it if they say what the paper is as they go.
I don't speed the videos up because the change in voice pitch makes me crazy.
I don't like just music. I really, really don't like a lot of chitchat. I don't care about your life- just the pretty things you do with paper.
Edit: It is Kitty Scrapper. It looks like she switched to yarn craft.

I have four kids and no scrap space so finding time alone to scrapbook while filming is incredibly difficult, but starting (and maintaining) a YouTube channel is on my list of goals for 2023!

I enjoy different types of videos -- except the ones with music and no talking. I simply can't concentrate over the music.

I prefer regular speed vlogs unless it is something mundane and then I prefer it to be sped up with easy to listen to music.
My biggest pet peeve is monotoned voice. With no intonations and no life behind the words. Like I am not going to watch if you aren't into it.
Sometimes I like long, detailed videos, other times I just want to watch the process with minimal information given.
I do wish more creators would explain their coloring process and not speed that up. I am still learning and hate having to watching 10 times just to see what colors they chose and how they used each one.

I am not the OP, but I plan to start a YouTube channel for unboxing videos, process videos, etc. soon and your comments are super helpful! I love unboxing/haul videos. It is a fun way to see what is new and get a noncommercial view of them (meaning no white washed, commercial lighting view which can seriously alter the colors). I then like to see how others use the papers, especially when they mix lines and companies.

I am not the OP, but I plan to start a YouTube channel for unboxing videos, process videos, etc. soon and your comments are super helpful! Ah, unboxing and collection/product haul videos! So necessary for products from exclusively online manufacturers and kit clubs. And for all other products for the ever-growing number of us who don't have access to LSS. 👍 My one note is if you show ephemera packs, please show all the pieces. Even quickly. So many scrappy haul YouTubers just show the back of the packaging with the photo of all the pieces. I just want to see everything clearly and get a good idea of the sizes of the pieces. Sped up is totally fine but please show them off! Let us know when you kick things off on the Tube! 😉
