I have lots of counter space and cabinets. I also have lots of kitchen crap that I should probably get rid of. However, KA and Crockpot stay out just because they are big and unwieldy. Toaster, coffee maker, Foodsaver stay out because they are used so often. Electric skillet stays out because . . . Well because I'd have to clean out a cabinet to put it into. Steamer and Cuisinart are both under counters, along with more sets of dishes than any household of three needs. The electric pressure cooker is sitting on top if the fridge.
Dang! I have far too many appliances for how much cooking I actually do.

I have quite a bit of counter space in my kitchen. My KA lives on the counter year round. I use it several times a week (when I have a working one anyway) I also leave out the blender, food processor, toaster, and a big unwieldy ugly wheat grinder that I really should give back to my MIL. I also have a huge cutting board, but it sits on the counter between the stove and the fridge and fits perfectly from edge to edge so it really just feels like a part of the kitchen. My knives are up on a magnet strip and all my other appliances are stored away in cabinets.

The corner In my kitchen area was design for the mixer. It is extra deep and mixers just slides back into it.
The coffee maker, toaster and electric can open live on the counter. The rest go back to the pantry
The microwave is a princess and lives in the tower.

I have a large countertop. Kitchen aid, crock pot, blender, coffe makers and toaster on the counter all the time. In big drawers I keep things like the food processer, a panini press, hand mixer, waffel iron etc.

My mixer stays out on the counter. It is just to heavy to put away after every use. It is is the only appliance I keep out, except for my microwave.

Kettle, toaster, coffee maker, and stand mixer at all out, all the time. The first three are used several times a day and it doesn't make sense to put them away. My stand mixer doesn't fit anywhere else.
My other appliances -- hand mixer, food processor, panini press, blender, immersion blender, electric frying pan, raclette, fondue pot, gas burner raclette -- are all stored in drawers or the big cupboard above the fridge.

WE have a nice size kitchen... Can't say it is extremely large but it is large for us. We have a cabinet/counter next to the fridge that we have our keurig, coffee pot, toaster, butter crock, and coffee carousal. the counter on the left of the stove is where we keep our stand mixer. also where the big salt and pepper shakers and a butter crock is. On the right side of the stove is our 2 oil containers (Rachael Rays) in the corner is our knife block. Then there is the sink. On the right of the sick is a basket we keep our bread in (we are still looking for the perfect bread box for us) there is also the paper towel holder, and bill keeper. I have pictures but they don't want to work....

We have a lot of counter space, and quite a few appliances permanently reside on them. If they get used at least every other day, they stay put. Well, the Kitchen Aid mixer doesn't get used that often, but it's too heavy to move all the time. The coffee maker, toaster, mixer, pressure cooker, Vitamix and countertop oven all are out all the time. We have enough counterspace that there is still ample workspace and it doesn't look cluttered, but I would rather not have them all out. In our next house, I'm going to do something like this, so the appliances can all be out all the time, but I don't have to look at them. Thank you so much for posting this picture!!! It is EXACTLY what I want when we redo my kitchen. I have tried to describe it to DH and DD, but they just give me "huh?" looks. Marcy

I have a counter that runs to the right of my sink, and I have my food processor, electric kettle, and can opener at the end of it.
On the front of my peninsula, I have my favorite family size crock pot, my kitchen aid, my Viatamix, and a big ass microwave. I do not use the microwave very much, primarily as a timer, but Dh and DD would go into apoplexy if I suggested moving it or getting rid of it. Neither of them uses it either.
On the back of the peninsula, on the part that is meant to be an eat at bar, I have my 3 pot crock pot and my electric pressure cooker/multi unit.
My espresso maker and electric frother have the top of a set of low metal shelves to themselves. My Caphalon grill is put away under the espresso maker, as is my remaining crockpot.
I could store this stuff in either pantry, but I wouldn't use it. I've decided if it isn't worth the counter space, it isn't worth having. I keep hoping DD will ask for the grill to take to school with her, but I think she's too smart.

I have lots of counter space, but I hate clutter, so I don't have appliances on the counter.

My KitchenAid sits on the counter even though I don't use it much (yet); it's just too heavy to move around a lot and I don't have a place for it other than the countertop. Griddle is on top of the refrigerator
We also have a toaster, a toaster oven and an ice crusher. Non-appliances include cookie jar, tool caddies, oil and paper towel holders and cutting board.
Other appliances live on the revolving rack in the lower cabinets and are brought out as needed (Foreman grill, popcorn maker, waffle iron crock pots, blender, etc.).
If I had a walk-in pantry instead of just a closet, I'd keep more things in there. Although this thread has made me think I might want to weed out some of the tool caddy things and rearrange others.

The coffee maker and the toaster oven are on the counter. The rest of the appliances are stored in cabinets and I pull them out when I need them.

KA is the only thing on the counter and we have a lot of space. If I had to lug it out, I would use it less.

Since I use my Vitamix and food processor on nearly a daily basis (raw vegan) I keep it on the countertop up against the wall. I try to keep it off the island though otherwise it would get to cluttered.

Blender and toaster are always out. Mixer is out most of the time but I actually put it on the counter of the former kitchen in the basement when we have company and don't bring it up until its needed again. Everything else should be put away, crock pot, waffle iron etc, but some times they're out for a few days after use.

My toaster oven, Kitchen Aid and food scale stay out. That's all for me. But my Kitchen Aid slides back into a dark corner that would be unused space otherwise. I used to leave my toaster out. Now that I have a toaster oven, I don't use it anymore. It's tucked away, but I keep it 'just in case' (in case of what, exactly, I'm not sure...)

My coffee maker is the only appliance out on the counter as it gets used daily. All others (toaster, toaster oven, coffee grinder, waffle iron, blender, the bullet, & crockpot) go in a bottom cabinet. Kitchen Aid mixer goes in the pantry. I don't like having my appliances out on the counter.

I put my toaster away every time I use it. I don't like to leave it plugged in, so putting it away ensures I unplug it. I can't get past the image of grabbing a hot toaster and hot-potatoing it from hand to hand while trying to cram it into a cabinet... I put mine away too.....once it's cooled off
