I'm catching up on the new and soon-to-be-released stuff on SB.com and ACOT and just came across this new addition to the Coming Soon section: MOONLIGHT MAGIC by Maggie Holmes Crate Paper ( ACOT - non affiliate link). I couldn't see it posted elsewhere. If I missed it, please ignore this thread.Got really excited that the moon fit would fit scrapbooking some of the family's beloved dog called Luna. But alas, 'twas not meant to be. I barely see the lunar name reflected in the collection. A lot of florals (some are perfect repeats from previous lines with Maggie Holmes, I swear, right down to the exact shade of colour), butterflies, woodland critters. I guess the magic part is reflected in the fairy children (with different skin tones so there's a yay) in the line? I don't know. Even the polka dot paper isn't moon phases... I can't believe I let myself get excited for a Maggie Holmes-like collection for a few seconds there. Should've known better! On the upside: floral lovers, finally something else than roses in MH line! I see daffodils, daisies, poppies and more. The one moon-y paper:

I don't think this collection is by MH, it seems it's a standalone Crate Paper Line. Interesting name, would have thought it was a Halloween Collection before seeing it.

As with most Maggie Holmes/Crate Paper Collections, I only like bits and pieces. I might pick up a few pieces of paper if I can find anyone selling open stock, but I don't think I will go out of my way for this one.

Thanks for pointing it out! It's so MH-like that my brain refused to register that it's actually CP. Rectified the original post.

Ugh. What a missed opportunity. I was hoping for a cottage core witchy moon vibe, à la Anges Nutter from Good Omens with a bit of Moonstruck from PP thrown in. I might snag the one actual lunar paper but will likely skip the rest. Boo. Moonstruck from Pink Paisley remains one of my all-time favorite collections.

I like the green background floral and the butterflies (although I swear it looks familiar) - other than that? it's an easy pass for me

I also assumed it was going to be a halloween line until I scrolled down and saw it. The only paper I kind of like is the stars, although I'd prefer it with a brighter white rather than the creamier tones. Everything else is a pretty easy pass for me.

Like others, I really like the star paper.
I really hope they release a new Halloween line. It has been 3 years maybe 4 since the last one came out and they re-released it the next year. It has been a favorite of mine since OA closed.

Me three, thinking this was going to be a witchy moony Halloween release. My reaction is ugh, no.

How in the world did this collection come by that name?

The disappointment in this thread is real. Yikes, CP/AC, big yikes. Like scrappyem (Moonstruck was the prettiest, 100% agree), joblackford, Chinagirl828, I was hoping for a fun witchy collection. Can you imagine a collection with those nearly black hollyhocks, and holographic foil vintage moons, and mice with witch hats, and baskets filled with blackberries, and rows of forest trees, and little spiders climbing up flower stems? They could've made a very original and still floral/feminine Halloween line. *deep sigh* Oh, CP, why.

I agree with everyone else. This looks like a brighter Maggie Holmes to me.
I have no interest that this. And the fairies are creepy.

That is a hard pass. I think the colors are awful.

This line doesn’t know what it wants to be. Where’s the moonlight? The colors are odd, barely a reference to moonlight, with butterflies, flowers and fairies. So odd!

I agree with all of you: not very "moony". Nothing much appeals to me in this collection. Thanks for showing us sleepingbooty.

This line doesn't interest me, it didn't grab my attention at all.

I'm still puzzling over the name.
Maybe a moon-y Halloween collection named "Blossom Fairies" will follow and we will know they were switched at birth.

While I agree the name doesn't fit the aesthetic of the collection, I do like a lot of the individual pieces of this collection.
We spend a lot of time outdoors and the woodland/flower motifs work for my photos. I love the variety of flowers and the My Collection paper is my favorite. It's nice to see the addition of periwinkle blue in this collection, too. While it's very floral, to me it's not too pink. I will probably pick up a lot of this collection when it's released.

This collection doesn’t work as a whole for me. I don’t even get what they were going for here. I like some individual pages but not enough to give it a second thought.

This is strange. Horrid design. Like is it a mixup? I usually like any sort of star/night sky design, but even that star paper is ick. Not related either, but Traci Reed has a digi kit coming out called Moonlit that is summer nights theme. Saw a sneak in her newsletter. I wonder if maybe companies are using an algorithm about popular naming and adding certain words that will bring up more hits/views?! (also good to see you again sleepingbooty )
