Hi everyone, welcome to the weekend! This is the last Sketchy Saturday for Q2. Do you believe we are almost halfway through the year?! Todays sketch is another one from the Page Maps Vol 2 book. 
Here is my sample layout. The photo is of DSO and my in-laws, and was taken on Mother's Day this year.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend, and find some time to do something scrappy! |

Gorgeous layout AussieMeg! I will absolutely try this one later today or tomorrow and get back to you ... making that commitment so that I hold MYSELF to some scrapping! I love the use of the Simple Stories "heart" isn't it? |

Thanks, AussieMeg. Love your take on this and have printed the sketch to take with me for scrapping at dd's on Tuesday. Can't wait to see your take on this, kitbop. And I know Linda and nylene and other peas who use a rectangular page will love this one. BTW, I see that most Saturdays in July and August need someone to post sketches. If you have a sketch you would like to use this summer--or have used and love the results--think about choosing a July or August date to host a Sketchy Saturday in the sign up thread |

I finished everything but the journaling on this one in less than 2 hours! I'm currently using a "kit" to limit my choices and make this trip feel more connected in appearance in my album. So far, so good. I rotated &flipped the sketch to accomodate my photo orientation, but otherwise stayed pretty true to it.  layout roots pook and plastic coats by kirstendrew, on Flickr |
