I can't imagine that kind of shipping price. Be sure to give them a call and they will fix it for you. I have been ordering from ACOT seems like forEVER and not had a problem with bent corners on my 12x12 papers. Hopefully yours was an isolated incident. Their customer service is tops.

I just received an order from ACOT and the paper was bent. Packaged exactly as described above, cardboard insert and in a big envelope. It even says ‘do not bend’ but I’ve found that the USPS can and will bend. The cardboard insert has a crease right down the middle, so I’m sure it happened en route. Granted I only bought 5 or so 12x12 papers and page protectors, so the envelope was light. Oh no, sorry about that! Please send us an email or DM me your order number and we can definitely replace any items that were damaged. If you find your local PO is damaging a lot of orders, we can also enable an option on your account to only ship out orders in boxes (but this does occasionally rule out some of the less expensive shipping options).

I rarely do, because every time I order 12x12 paper it is damaged. They just do not package it properly. I will order from them but only if my order will not include paper, and then usually only if scrapbooks.com does not have the item.
To be fair, every time I have brought it to their attention they have tried to make it right by sending new paper, however they send it the same way they sent the first pack lol. I just gave up. I have never had an issue with their shipping charges however. I've ordered from them a handful of time but stopped because of exactly this. While it's nice that they will replace, customers shouldn't have this problem and have to wait for the second replacement order to arrive. I mentioned it here a year or so ago, but felt like everyone was just fine with their shipping method, and felt like I should just deal with it (including Matt himself) because they like ACOT.

I think I've never had a problem because my orders always come in boxes. By the time they wrap up a half inch of paper tightly and back it onto the cardboard, it is really sturdy. I can see how it gets messed up if it isn't shipped in a box.
Honestly, the most trouble I've had with shipping damage has been directly from American Crafts. I bought a bunch of Thickers and other stickers from them when they were having that big sale and the longer stickers were all bent up. It ticked me off but I was too lazy to follow up on it.
I do like ACOT. I hope they solve the problem.

I just placed a pre-order for some of the 49 and Market Sunburst collection. I honestly can't remember any shipments ever being damaged, but I do believe you, MichyM. That would bother me too; and if I consistently have a problem with a company, I stop ordering from them too.

I have had a few bent papers too. I try and order bigger orders so it comes in a box. But twice the USPS has shoved the box into a space not designed for the box and paper corners were bent.
The last year they deliver to the door.

Add me to the list of never having had a problem with damaged products from ACOT. It seems that enough people have had a problem, though, so they should be aware of this issue and stop packaging paper that way if there’s a consistent problem.

It seems that enough people have had a problem, though, so they should be aware of this issue and stop packaging paper that way if there’s a consistent problem. For me, it is the PO. ACOT places the paper on good chipboard and then super tapes the plastic bag the paper is on to the chipboard. All corners are taped. But when the PO jams it into small spaces or doesnt handle it well...then the box gets bent which bends the paper. I have had one box completely smashed on one side and only that corner of paper was damaged and I had 2 paper pads and loose paper. So thich and it got ruined. I have also had the PO set the box down in a puddle of water at my front door. Thankfully I was home and was able to grab it right away before any damage happened. The PO doesnt care. They just write off the damage. GLS tosses boxes from the sidewalk to my door. UPS is pretty good though they did damage Fiestaware one time. Fed Ex is hit and miss with how they handle packages. Until the carriers/delivery persons are held liable, nothing will change.

While it might be true that it is the fault of USPS, Persnickty Prints can get my photos to me safely, and Scrapbook.com can get paper safely to me. No other company (except for Ali Edwards at times) has any problem getting stuff to me in good condition. I am going to stick with the companies who can.

I've always had reasonable shipping costs from ACOT, factoring in paper is heavy and has to be packed in over 12x12 sized boxes.
I do try to take advantage of free shipping, however.

I just received some paper that I ordered from acot. It was in a plastic bag along with chipboard inside a large mailing envelope. The envelope looked like usps dragged it through hell and and back but the paper is in good shape.
