mamaofdudes - I agree; the tone of the old board had all but run me off. I like your status! It make me think about taking the old 2 Peas info out of my signature.

I'm hoping to, but you never know. I was over at 2 peas for 12 years I think. So this may be the fresh start I need to post more.

I am going to try but like others have said its "hard" to break in to a new clique and thats what its like here in a way. Or somedays I really only have time to read a few things then I am off to do other stuff. But I want to try and make some new friends here! I think the trick is not to take it personally when it appears 'cliquey'. If you jump in no one is going to say anything about your post count and whether you qualify to post (unless it's really controversial!!!) but equally it might mean no one directly responds to your post. That doesn't mean you're being ignored, peas may well have read your point and agreed, but carried on reading then posted their own point. in essence I think it can look cliquey but it actually isn't - anyone is welcome

I will definitely post more here. I was a little intimidated by the other board. Honestly, I didn't think any of my posts were even noticed. But I've already had a call out thread here for my avatar. This place feels more open to hearing from everyone.

I could never understand why certain peas felt like our international friends had no voice on the previous message board. I always thought that was bull.

Going to try to post more here. Had less than 1000 posts on the other board in 7 years.

I lurked the last few years, so I've already posted more over here in five minutes than I posted over there in five years. Lol Me too! (except over a shorter time period). I think the boards have a great feel to them. The move seems to have re-energised everyone.

I was a long time lurker. I am going to try to participate more. I only had a few posts on the old boards.

Many times, someone had already posted what I was thinking, so I didn't bother adding my reply to threads. I do see this new board as a fresh start, though, and I hope to become a more active participant. I feel like I "know" many Peas after all the years on the 2 Peas site. Guess now it is time to let you all get to know me a little better! ~Ronda I would often do the same thing - if someone had already posted what I was thinking, it didn't seem like I should bother replying... now, I can use the 'like' button

I'm decided to post more. A bit afraid of cultural and lifestyle differences with many of the ladie here (mexican, lesbian). But I do hope I don't make many mistakes and I'm able to comment, help and give support any way possible.

I don't know if I'll post more or not. Maybe...I kind of hope so!
I was a long, LONG time lurker on TwoPeas...registered eleven years ago and, with just a few breaks due to life events, always enjoyed reading daily. I learned many things from the Peas and wanted to join in on numerous occasions, but felt weird about it. You know...who is this strange woman with the incredibly low post count who knows so much about Pea history?! I never even reached 100 posts there!

Yes, I think I will. I have been a lurker for 10 years with 70 posts. I was so upset when I lost you all and it took me a day to find my way here.

I registered on 2peas probably 10 years ago or so. I wanted to figure out the board before posting...10 years later and not a single post, I've decided to De lurk. Still apprehensive, but trying.

I was a member of 2Peas for 11 years and logged less than 300 posts. I am a slow typer, but a very fast reader. I'll probably maintain the habit I had at 2Peas of being a daily reader, and only post occasionally

I am making an effort to post more than read here on this new board. I feel like it had given everyone a fresh start and a way for everyone to have a voice

I was at TwoPeas for 12-13 years - I think I had maybe 300 posts if that. I lurked, probably every.single.day. It was part of my daily routine when I got home and had time to settle in and relax: FB, CNN, 2ps, Pinterest. Sometimes never made it to Pinterest!
I think I will probably post more, only because when I went on TwoPeas last week and saw it shut down my heart just sank - even though I wasn't very active, it was still a part of my daily life and I immediately felt empty and bereft (and pissed that we got no warning!), like a good friend had moved to another country with no way to contact her. I was frantic for a couple of days trying to find out WTH had happened and I stumbled on the link here. Been lurking ever since, but only because my email was jacked and I couldn't log in to get the activation email until today!
Anyway, I realized how lost I was without NSBR so I think I'll be a little more involved this time!
SO GLAD TO BE HERE!!!

I am trying to. I was a lurker on the other board with something like 30 posts in in 10 years. Everyone had already said what I was thinking, so I would just sit on the other side of the computer and nod my head.

I can't really see myself posting much more than I did before--which wasn't a lot, lol! I skip posts about American politics, hot button issues like same-sex marriage and religion, most TV show posts, and various other things that don't interest me. Of the threads that are left, I only post if I feel I have something new to add, and if the thread isn't already a 10-pager! I do read posts for about half an hour a day, off and on, but that's about all I have time for these days . . . That being said, when the NSBR board suddenly disappeared, I was surprised at how big a feeling of loss I felt--I'm glad that this board was created

I'll probably do what I always have done. I'll come around every few days/weeks, read threads that appeal to me, and then post to them if I feel I have something decent that I can contribute to the conversation.
