I am hoping to take advantage of Amazon Prime Days and purchase a cordless stick vacuum and/or robot vacuum for my downstairs which has tons of hardwood and carpeting. I prefer a vacuum with a long charge life and one that you don't have to push the "on" button down the whole time you are using it. I prefer quality over low price. Also, I have never owned a robot vac, but I may consider one if it is high quality and easy to use.
Hit me with your recommendations or ones to avoid. Thank you!!

I have corgis. We have three levels of house and more than one vacuum on several levels. . The Dyson ball is for carpet (and not what you are asking about). The other two levels each have an iRobot that goes 3 times a week. I have a Euphy (good, not great), and my iRobot Shark that empties itself and is connect to my phone is a workhorse and effective. I also have a Shark Rocket Pro (cordless- works about 20 minutes) that is super powerful and works on the wood/low pile rugs and can get under most furniture. It also lights up so you can see that corgi glitter get sucked up.

I’m currently running the Eufy wifi robotic vacuum in my house right now. I won it in a drawing and so far, so good! We also have a Roomba at our lake cabin that we bought years ago that we’ve also been mostly happy with. The issues we’ve had with our robot vacuums is that they take a long time to vacuum a small room, they’re noisy as they bump into walls, doors and furniture, they get stuck under low furniture, they have a very small dust bin that fills up fast if you have pets that shed and you have to be careful about not having cords on the floor. I also have a cordless Shark vacuum at the lake cabin that I like. The battery lasts about 45 minutes which is fine for what I need. It’s really lightweight which is great for moving it between levels of the house and doing stairs. I bought it a few years ago on clearance at Target so I’m not sure if the model I have is still available but this one looks pretty similar. www.amazon.com/Shark-Navigator-Freestyle-Brushroll-SV1106/dp/B00C351GBC/ref=sr_1_3?crid=29ZENXU5F90MJ&keywords=shark+cordless+vacuum+cleaner&qid=1689006539&sprefix=Shark+cordless+vacuum%2Caps%2C161&sr=8-3ETA: After running the Eufy twice now, I will say this one is a lot quieter than our first Gen Roomba. The Eufy has a front sensor that prevents it from bumping repeatedly into walls and stuff, plus in general it just runs quieter. I also like that it has a separate remote control and is also wifi enabled so I can run it remotely from Google Assistant or the Eufyhome app.

My Eufy robo-vac runs in the middle of the night, every night. It's made my (cat fur and tracked litter) life a LOT easier.

I have an irobot j7+ named Rosie - she's awesome. She maps so I can start her and send to her specific spaces via app. She's self-emptying and returns to her dock when she needs to recharge.
