It's amazing what they build nests with!
I see a lot of net wrap in the nests around here. We don't use net wrap on our bales, because that stuff is just the devil to deal with! We use plastic twine, which is also a pain in the butt. We started cutting the twine and pulling it off before the grinder comes to grind hay. It's an extra chore, but no more twine balls in the feed bunks, fields, and cattle guts!

Observing ducks: Several years ago we watched 2 males fight over mating with a female. The 3 were in the creek and we thought the poor female would be drowned before it was all over.
