There used to be more websites/blogs like Nancy Nally's that kept us informed, did tradeshow tours, lawsuits, company merges, etc. Now, we have to go to each manufacturer's website or blog (if they even have one). Without 2Peas, I wouldn't know anything about what's happening in the scrapbook/cardmaking world. Are there other sources out there beside 2Peas?

Honestly, Instagram seems like the only alternative. My Instagram is mostly crafty; following companies, design team members, "popular" crafters, etc and that's how I get most of my news for the positive stuff. There really doesn't seem like there's a way to get the dirty scoop on the crafting industry any more. Occasionally, someone will post a scandal but that doesn't happen very often.

Same as pinklady. I only see calls for design teams and submissions on Instagram mostly. Hip Kit Club is looking for design team members. Maybe this thread can be the new place for people to look for design team opportunities?

I don't think there is anywhere, really. Most of what I hear I hear on Instagram + smaller FB groups.

Sigh, I'm not a big Instagram fan, but I feel like I am getting pushed more and more to it.

Same here, but I'll probably bail on Twitter when I cave and join Insta.

Instagram and ACOT's preorder section. That's where I usually go! 😊

I hunt for cherries at ACOT and always go to the “new” and preorders areas to see what’s new and coming up. That’s one of the best ways to see what’s coming.
I agree with Insta too. I ended up making a separate scrapping related account just to follow creators, artists and manufacturers in the industry. If I need a fix I go over to that account.

I occasionally see things on fb, but honestly I rely on the peas.

Back when Creating Keepsakes magazine and Two Peas were active seemed to be more competition and the stakes were higher. Used to be some interesting gossip on some of the sites like Scrap Smack. Some of the same players are still out there and I have a good memory for their past shenanigans even though many may have forgot.

I used to follow ScrappyJedi, she knew what was going on, now it's just the Peas. I should probably follow people on Instagram but I don't...
