How do you separate sentiment stamps vs stamps with sentiments? I am trying to organize my stamps and I made some catagories, etc but am struggling with these two. I only have one set of stamps that are purely sentiments, the others have some images and then sentiments too. Am I just overthinking it?

I stamped swatches from the stamps with sentiments and filed those swatches in my sentiment stamp section with a note indicating where the stamps are stored (by theme etc...)

It can very frustrating if you have too many stamps to remember them all well or flip through them quickly. There are a few people on other threads here who have shared their systems for keeping an inventory of their stamps either using a digital tool like Evernote or a paper binder with everything stamped out. I have a section for sentiments (I have about a dozen sentiment only sets) and another section with all the rest of the stamps (image + words) that are organized by size. I have just about the right number that I can remember or flip through fast enough to find what I need most of the time but I’m right in the edge of needing to declutter or catalog and categorize.

My stamp/dies/stencils collection has grown to fill 6 refrigerator bins. (I store all three of those items together sorted by theme) I knew I was missing using things and buying things I didn't need because I had too much to look through. First step was ruthlessly purge those bins! I knew that I wanted to store the sentiments only items together, but sentiments that had images also I wanted sorted with the rest of the items by theme. I also knew there was no way I was cataloging everything! So, I chose to stamp and/or die cut a sample of every sentiment, no matter where it was in my collection, and make a notebook sorting all of those examples by theme. So, if I need a birthday sentiment, I pull out the notebook of samples, flip to the birthday section and can see all my stamp and die choices all together. I made sure to note where in my collection to find each of those items. It was truly a pain! But well worth it in the end. My biggest take away was that, contrary to what I previously believed, I have more than enough sentiments for ANY occasion! No more buying sentiments for me!
Edited to add - I cataloged only sentiments. I have no problem flipping through a theme category to find an image. It often sparks new ideas when I do that. Those sentiments were just harder to find than the images.

I use Evernote with images and tags. I also store my stamps by company not by theme.
