I don't know if it will work because I thought I had already unsubscribed to scrapbook dot com a few times... but after deleting the 4th? email they sent me TODAY I just snapped and hopefully really unsubbed this time. Every day is annoying, multiple times a day makes me angry.
How many daily/weekly emails can you handle from companies that you like and shop from before you say enough already?!

I try not to subscribe to anything if at all possible. If they send me more than 1 a week, I unsubscribe.

Why I use a separate email address for on-line purchases.
My regular email stays unbothered and the shoping one can get all the junk.

If I get more than one a day I unsubscribe. Scrapbook.com is next to be unsubscribed, they send way too many.

They always start sending me emails after I buy something from them. I usually wait until I get my order then unsubscribe.

I sign up for all the places I shop. Scrapbook and other type of stores.
I don't mind the daily or multiple times a day emails, especially if there's deals, coupons or sale notifications in them. Doesn't bother me at all to receive them in my inbox. I do a brief scan, then either keep it in my inbox or delete it.
One of my evening chores, is to go through and delete emails that I no longer need or want to save in my inbox. Takes me a minute or two.

I've received 4 in the last 24 hours. One a day is acceptable but more than that and I just hit delete without even scanning it.

What email service do you use? I use Gmail and all promotional/advertising emails go directly into my Promotions folder and I'm not notified they are there. I have to click Promotions to view those emails. Maybe switching to Gmail will help? I only want notifications on my phone for important emails, not ads.

I truly don’t understand why businesses send so Many emails. There are some stores I would not mind an occasional email but multiple a week, daily, or multiple daily is insane and I unsubscribe. If they sent less emails I’d stay subscribed to some but this way they lose their chance to market to me.

Yes! This joblackford! I also subscribe to sb.com and wonder why in the world I receive so many daily e-mails. It didn't used to be quite so bad. On the other hand, I don't want to unsubscribe totally. They really need to give us more options. I would be content to receive 2 per week, not 4 per day. All companies should let the customer decide how many e-mails they wish to receive. Great topic.

From April 2023
Me: I just unsubscribed from your emails. When I clicked the unsubscribe button, it showed that I was only signed up for Cards for Kindness emails but I received FOUR (4) emails from you today and none of them were related to Cards for Kindness. I will still donate cards (sending a box in Friday) but man you guys sure send a lot of emails.
Them: Thank you so much for letting us know. We do apologize that you received that many emails and are happy to pass this information along to our team. We are so thankful for you and your contribution to Cards for Kindness. Please let us know if you continue to receive many emails at once.
I'm still getting at least two per day. I do want to get the CFK emails so I set up a filter that only keeps emails that mention Cards for Kindness. All others get sent to Trash.
ETA: I use Gmail and it's really easy to set up a filter by clicking the slider icon(?) on the right side of the search mail box at the top.

There was a company that kept emailing me even after I unsubscribed. I contacted them by email and complained that they did not honor or respect the unsubscribe. They apologized, and the emails stopped.
If they are emailing too many times, I unsubscribe. Multiple times per day is harassment, IMO. At that point, even if I like the company, I unsubscribe.

I get a crap load from scrapbook.com. However, since I’m now retired I like the small chore of weeding through my email everyday. It reminds me of working, without actually having to work. 😉

When Studio Calico debuted over 15 years ago, I created an account to view its website. That was the one & only time I've clicked on the website, so I've spent a grand total of $0.00 there. Despite numerous attempts to unsubscribe over the years, I still receive frequent emails from SC & its affiliates. As I result of this experience, I don't subscribe to mailing lists.

I have hotmail. I know, I know, so not cool. Anyway, I create a rule for all store emails and they go directly to the shopping folder instead of my inbox.

There is a scrapper whose blog I really enjoyed. Every few minutes, though, a pop up message would appear asking me to input my email to get future notifications. It was distracting and annoying. I guess I could have provided a junk email to continue viewing the content but the incessant pop up made me ditch the site completely. Sad because I really liked her content.

Why I use a separate email address for on-line purchases. My regular email stays unbothered and the shoping one can get all the junk. I often use my vintage 1990s hotmail address for mailing lists to catch all the junk (especially for brands that seem spammy) but then when I pay for something using PayPal which is attached to my gmail address and then I’d get emails in both accounts! And I do actually want to get shipment notifications and receipts from companies I buy from, and want to be able to find them amongst the junk, so again they get my gmail address. I think this is where I land too. It’s not that I want nothing, I just don’t want so much. I tried to uncheck the boxes to minimize emails but when I was still getting 4 a day with no boxes checked I had to hit unsubscribe.

Especially if they start popping up before I’ve even made it past the first screen. If I haven’t even read one whole post before the pop ups start I’m not only not giving you my email, I’m almost certainly going to close the tab immediately because that just annoys me so much.

I have to click Promotions to view those emails. Maybe switching to Gmail will help? I only want notifications on my phone for important emails, not ads. I do use gmail, but I was getting things sorted into the wrong categories and having all the different spots was making me feel more overwhelmed, maybe felt too much like work, so I simplified into two inboxes - important stuff I need to see and all the rest. I still have a need/desire to clean out both almost to zero every day. Gmail is definitely better than other emails. Maybe I should try the multiple inboxes again - at the time I changed it the emails I was getting were a little different. Or like GiantsFan said, using the filters/rules better. I did funnel all my SSS emails away from my inbox for a long time before getting unsubscribed. I figured that if I needed a coupon code the emails would be there but then I mostly forgot they existed and stopped shopping there. I guess the email bombardment works or these companies wouldn’t be doing it… but it feels like they lose a lot of people who would be happy for occasional emails. If a business has a sale I’m cool with an email to say it’s started and one to warn that it’s about to end, or for general news/releases I’d say once a week is plenty.

I have had to unsubscribe from sb.com for exactly the sane reason. Their opt-ins do not work. It’s either get multiple emails every single day, or nothing. I’m currently getting nothing. This is my third time getting fed up and unsubscribing completely.

I have no idea how many emails I get. It all goes in my promotion section in Google so I never see them. I opened that page and looked after I read this and yes, there are a lot of emails from Scrapbook.com. I need to go clear all of those out.

Unsubscribing from all scrapbook dot com emails seems to have yielded the frequency I wanted - they're only sending one email every few days now. 😝

Any time I place an order with SB.com, even though I leave the “subscribe here” checkbox unchecked, it always automatically subscribes. It’s become habit to place an order, then immediately navigate to “unsubscribe all”. If it wasn’t so easy to do it would be annoying.

It certainly is annoying to receive multiple emails. I try not to unsubscribe from things but if it gets really bad I will. Otherwise I just ignore or delete what comes in. That said, I don't seem to receive multiple emails a day from any organisation including SB.com.
Work is another issue. We have an IT security guy and it seems like his sole job is to send fake phishing emails to see if everyone is on their toes and not a being a risk to the firm. In one day I got 3 test phishing emails. That is just ridiculous.
