I've just seen a little instagram clip with someone using stamping foam to create a background for a card--I've never heard of stamping foam before as I'm not a cardmaker or stamper in my regular scrappy life ... What can you tell me?! And maybe most importantly, do you think I could use stamping foam to create texture on my pottery pieces? Would I be able to get the texture 'deep' enough into the foam?

I think that even wet clay would be "tougher" than the stamping foam, so it would be hard for it to make an impression in the clay.

I have a chunk from C&CD this spring that I don't think I'll ever use. It's light, but bulky. I'd offer to send it to you for shipping, but you seem to be most of width of the continent and an international border away, so possibly not at all worthwhile.

That is so kind of you to offer, but I think with shipping being what it is, I'd be better off buying some at a LSS and giving any I don't use to the ladies that I semi-regularly crop with. Last year when I sent Christmas gifts to my family one province over, the postage was more than the gifts!

The person to check out if you want to learn more about it is Simon Hurley. It’s his product and he’s shown a lot of examples of how he uses it on his YT channel. He has a whole playlist! youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPfJBMxvm-DrFWFJi8JnyM-XPDTsuYbRNHe seems like a nice guy and would almost certainly answer your question if you asked him about it
