I need some help from the girls who like fashion and like to shop. I bought this yesterday. I’d like to wear it into fall, and need a pair of shoes to wear with it. For now, I have sandals that’ll work great, but for September and early October I’d like something that says “fall light” if that makes sense. Here’s the criteria: Brown, khaki, or light brown. No blue please. Closed toes, but can be open on the sides or back (a sling back would be great). Under 2” heels Casual(ish) as I’d be wearing it just living life (I no longer work). Under $200 COMFORTABLE. I walk quite a bit in my everyday life. After spending a lot of time looking online I have these in my shopping cart in the color LATTE, but the heel is higher than I’d like. www.nordstrom.com/s/token-slingback-wedge-bootie-women/7372375?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FAll%20Results&color=001 Can you help me out? ❤️ **********
ETA: thanks so much for everyone's help! I've narrowed my choices down using my criteria and your direction and I'm wondering if you feel like weighing in on which ones you think work best. I do have boots and one pair of booties that would work, so I'm set there. I liked the idea of ballet flats, however I find most do not have enough support for my feet, but I'm willing to try. Anyhow....if you feel like letting me know which you prefer, I'm all ears!

I like those a lot (i have a different pair of their wedges and they are comfortable) and they’d look cute with the dress However for the fall I’m trying to get away from the rope heel. If it’s damp day I’m afraid they’ll get trashed.

What about a leather fisherman sandal? They are very popular here and would work into our Fall (we won't see 80s until mid-Oct most likely), but not sure about your weather in Sept/Oct? Here are some that I would wear with that dress. All under $200. Love the dress and may have to check it out. Is there a set in waist (seam at waist)? I'm long waisted and can't wear most dresses with a seam at the waist. Woven Leather SlingbackSam Edelman Leather Cap Toe Slingback
Cap Toe PumpKarl Lagerfeld Cap Toe Sneaker - I fully embrace the sneaker w/dress look and these are upscaled from the usual sneaker. On sale too!

I really like the shoes you linked, MichyM. I wish I could wear them. For the last couple of years, anything with the heel raised more than 1/2 inch or so makes it feel like my big toe is going to break right off!

The first one might work, but the others are too tailored/buttoned up for the dress. The fabric is a cotton poplin, so I think it needs a bit more casual/looser look. Does that even make sense? 😆

Yeah, I like em too, but the heel height is not practical. Now, if they included a 1” platform, I might be able to do it.

I bought a pair of Cole Haan loafers from the sale (have never worn the brand before) and am pleasantly surprised how good they are for my feet. Did you try them? When you said loafers for that dress I was like, really? Really? 😉 But those would totally work, and I like em. However, like the pair I found, the heel height isn’t very practical for me.

I’m sorry they won’t work - I thought maybe they be okay with the chunky heel. I’m sure there is a loafer that would work - maybe something fairly flat with a cute accent across the front.
I think some loafers can be cute with dresses - Im 62 so I’m not sure if it’s stylish cute or 62 year old cute. I’m not trying to dress too young but I’m definitely trying to keep a youthful/current look to my clothes.
I didn’t order the Cole Haan loafers - CH is hit or miss for me. I tried the Sam Edelman, Franco Sarto, Dolce Vita and a couple of others.
I wasn’t going to order anything from the sale and I ordered enough to open a mini Nordstrom. Most is going back.

I would wear a boot, or trainer rather than shoes and add a leather jacket.

I would wear a boot, or trainer rather than shoes and add a leather jacket. I am wearing some Nike sneaks and all white trainers with my dresses this summer. I hope they continue to work for fall. I'm at a point where I'm needing all shoes to be soft, especially if walking or on my feet a lot. Throw a jean jacket on and you're good to go.

Have you thought about a ballet flat? They are very popular this year. If you go to Nordstrom and search for ballet flat you will come up with lots of options. Here are two examples: Tory Burch Ballet FlatLucky Ballet Flats

Thanks so much, I’m on the run this morning but will check out the links this evening ❤️ **GypsyGirl**, I missed your question about the waist on the dress. I also Have a longer waist (and short little legs). There is no set in waistline on the dress. The loops for the belt are 1-1 1/2” too high for me, but they’ll be easy to remove.

I like the style of #1 the best. Not familiar with the comfort level of Trotters brand. There's a similar shoe by Softwalk called Sandy that looks to have more cushion.

Number 3 for the win. Just a FYI, I spray all my shoes that might be prone to water spots with Champ’s Water Repellent.

I like 1 and 3. The notch cut out looks like it would irritate the top of my foot unless it's super soft, which it doesn't appear to be I agree with anniebeth24 that the Softwalk shoe she posted looks much more cushy in the footbed, but shoes with those raised ridges at the back drive me nuts and I find them uncomfortable. I love 4 in the Latte color but could not do that wedge heel. I hope you find something that fits like a dream and that you love.
