Tomorrow starts a new month. Whether you rocked your July goals, made progress on them, or life got in the way (we've all been there), a new month is a good time to revise goals and come up with a new plan.

Again this month, not many scrappy goals. It is busy around here and I will play with paper when I have the time. Lots of summer photos printed and on my camera & phone, but no deadlines for getting them scrapped.
I need to create and send a few birthday cards this month.
I gave dgs a Simple Stories SNAP album before he left on vacation, and promised him that I would help him scrap their adventures after he gets back.

I don't have any scrappy goals for August besides making sure I download my photos regularly.
I'm sure I will squeeze a few pages in over the course of the month but with school starting, my oldest's birthday, and needing to wrap up wedding and mini-moon planning for September, I'll be busy with other things.

Last night I was hunting through my stash, looking for alpha Thickers for a layout and I found TWO BOXES of finished layouts without journaling. Ahhhhhhhh!
My August Goal is to add journaling to one box of layouts. It's probably 25-30(ish) layouts?
I also need to order two more albums to store finished layouts.

I have a few things that I want to get taken care of before the weather gets cooler and I can devote more time to scrapping (hopefully):
- I am doing a bit of organizing in my workspace and my August goal is to get that finished. - I have a challenge layout to complete. - I purchased a card class at the beginning of July (along with extra supplies to make more cards) so I want to watch the instructional video and make the cards. - My 2022 layouts need to find their way into an album. I think one will be sufficient, but I need to do some planning to make sure. - I have a two day scrappy date planned at the end of this month, so I want to go armed with some page kits ready to go.

I did really well last month and I’ve been on a roll cranking out layouts that I’m happy with. This month I want to:
Catch up on journaling Finish a mini album Edit and order a batch of pictures Upload July 2023 pictures to my pc Get started in an 8.5x11 vacation themed album Keep scrapping layouts Stay frozen

My goals for this month shall be:
1. Consistently post 3x per week to my Instagram account. July became very busy, very quickly.
2. Work on my niece's first year album. Ideally, I would like to get her newborn to 4 months photos scrapped by the end of August.
3. Deep clean my cart that holds my Cricut and other such things.

Making progress on my trip album - only about 6-8 layouts to go I think, but I'm at that point where I'm tired of working on it and want to move on to a new project. Going to try and power through though - it's so close.

Going to try and power through though - it's so close. Me too! Trip album is on its way but I’m losing momentum fast, come on Linda I’ll cheer you on, we can do it and get them on the shelf as finished projects! I also have one photo to print to finish my witl album for this year. One photo. It’s been months now and three photo orders and I still haven’t printed it out. Maybe I can get that completed at the very least 🤣

thanks lg - what is holding you back from printing it? choosing it, editing it, remembering to order it? You've got this and how wonderful it'll be to finish it up and get it on the shelf! I'm down to three layouts for the trip album - going to try and get them done tonight

-get 1975-1979 photos labelled, sorted, and organised
-finish my Williamsburg trip album
-get the last three layouts done for the big kids Dec 2022
-use at least 3 stamp sets at least once each -use my Cricut at least once a week - used it for at least 4 layouts so far -deal with the drawer of randomness in my scappy desk there's still some randomness but the stuff that was there because I hadn't actually put it away has been put away.

My goal for August is to do more layouts than I did in July. I only did ONE layout for the whole of July!
I want to go back and complete the Sketchy Saturday layouts that I haven't done yet. I usually do every one, but I am so far behind this year.
I also want to start preparing my sketches / layouts for Sketchtember, so I am not rushing like a mad woman on the 1st of September!
I am currently working on the video about our Thailand trip last month. Once that has been done, I want to start working on the photo album. I do NOT want to get six years down the track and only be a quarter of the way through, like my 2017 Vietnam photo book.

thanks lg - what is holding you back from printing it? choosing it, editing it, remembering to order it? My brain remembering to add it to cart. I was going to today and forgot as I started playing with some layouts I’d half completed 🤦🏻♀️ At least the layouts were for my travel album?!? 🤣

lg - I totally get that. I printed photos for an album a week or so ago- and realised when my photos arrived and I was organising them, that I missed ordering a bunch.

Monthly - Jun '23 - Jul '23
Belize - Pick templates - Day 0&1 - Day 2
Other - Positivity Passport glue and write in notebook for the days 1-12 - Print pictures for days 12-31 - Use mental health kit
I am glad to be almost caught up in my monthly book. I want to keep working on it but it is a slog right now. I have picked other goal that seem more fun. I won't be able to get it all done this month.
I went to Belize with my sister in 2008. Way way over due for a book. I started before but I don't think the template set was right. Time to try again. At least I have picked some pictures.

You all put me to shame. My goal is to get more done this month than last month. I think I only completed 4 l/o-s in July. (atrb_partsz) But I'm counting that as progress. Maybe Aug will be more productive.

everyone has different amounts of time to craft and different speeds of crafting. Don't compare yourself to others - there's no shame in being a slow crafter or having to shoehorn crafting time in between work, family, and other committments. I'm blessed to be a stay at home mum with just one teen at home (and she's not been home much lately) and a husband who encourages my crafting - but that's not really the norm here.

We all have periods where we have more time to create, or more time making memories, no shame in having small (but achievable) goals.

I've finally decided on my goals for this month.
* find sketches for my hosting days in sketchtember * start making layouts for those sketches * brainstorm a list of stories to tell to make my life easier during sketchtember
My mojo has been hiding a lot recently and I'm currently working on sewing projects, so if I make anything scrappy this month I'll consider it a win.

As long as you are having fun while cutting up and gluing all of the paper and pretty things, that's all that really matters, right? 😁

decided to start tackling another trip album - with no hopes of finishing it anytime soon but progress would be good. It's our epic road trip of 2017 - 16 days, 18 states, DC, and Quebec plus my sister's wedding and a visit to my mum....
I've done the title page and day one so far. Next up Day 2...

My goals for August: •finish my camping vacation album •complete PL pages for that timeframe (with extra photos and while the supplies are out) •complete a few LOs of that trip for our yearly 12x12 album (while the supplies are out) •prep for retreat in September (print photos, assemble kits, print journaling, etc)
