I've gone off onto a side project: trying to figure out a storage for the little dome=y ink blenders so that maybe I'll actually use those inks that I started collecting last year. I have velcro dots and several stamp storage boards. So we'll see how horribly wrong this will go. |

I purged over 2 feet of paper. I posted on Facebook if any of my friends want to go through it. One of my scrapping friends said "but what will you scrap with?" I laughed and laughed. We will not discuss how many feet I have left.
So now I have a huge pile of paper in my basement that is getting in my way. But I feel pretty good about the prospect of getting it out of my life.

I did really well last month and I’ve been on a roll cranking out layouts that I’m happy with. This month I want to: Catch up on journaling  Finish a mini album Edit and order a batch of pictures Upload July 2023 pictures to my pc Get started in an 8.5x11 vacation themed album Keep scrapping layouts Stay frozen I finished the mini album! Yay! Now I need to go clean up the mess. |

My goals for August: ✔️•finish my camping vacation album •complete PL pages for that timeframe (with extra photos and while the supplies are out) •complete a few LOs of that trip for our yearly 12x12 album (while the supplies are out) ✔️•prep for retreat in September (print photos, assemble kits, print journaling, etc) I finished my vacation album! Now I’m cleaning up the craftermath. |

Downloaded a pic to complete my witl album (still have to print it but the hard part is done!) and I went through childhood pics and completed my ae stories of play tn (including journaling) apart from a couple of embellishments to a couple of pages.
Have been sitting on these for months now and I finally made progress (I did this though by putting away my vacation album I was working on as I was feeling no mojo for it). Also used a few random things I’ve had lying around for ages in second project so I’m super happy as they fit the theme and look awesome!!!

I don't know how long I've been working on it, maybe 3 months, but I finally finished my 1999 China trip photobook project! I ripped apart a large sketchbook album that was awkward to store and look through and rebuilt it into a 7x7" blurb book. Luckily I already had the negatives scanned and I was able to scan my journaling using OCR to avoid retyping too much, although my writing style was awful back then. <cringe>
I tried to keep it short and simple but there were too many stories and cool photos so it's 108 pages. Blurb has a 30% off coupon this weekend so I edited it for the last time and called it good enough.

I said I'd be happy if I got any scrapping done in August, and I didn't make a single thing.
* find sketches for my hosting days in sketchtember I have found about 20 that are possibilities. I suspect I'll be choosing one on the day I have to host.
* start making layouts for those sketches nothing made except sewing projects which are all completed
* brainstorm a list of stories to tell to make my life easier during sketchtember I found my list from last year with all the stories I didn't get to. I haven't added any new stories to it but I at least have something to work from.

My update:
1. Consistently post 3x per week to my Instagram account. July became very busy, very quickly.
Fail!
2. Work on my niece's first year album. Ideally, I would like to get her newborn to 4 months photos scrapped by the end of August.
Fail!
3. Deep clean my cart that holds my Cricut and other such things.
Fail!
4. Finish the Foolish Mortal Halloween Swap pieces. They are due in September, but family will be visiting during that time. The goal is to finish early!
Success!
I *thought* about doing some of these things last month, does that count? 😉

It's all taken care of now so I'll just move those over to September. I wish I had kept a count of how many layouts I scrapped because I did scrap quite a bit in August. |

Monthly - Jun '23- Jul '23 Belize - Pick templates - Day 0&1 - Day 2 Other - Positivity Passport glue and write in notebook for the days 1-12 - Print pictures for days 12-31 - Use mental health kiterer I am glad to be almost caught up in my monthly book. I want to keep working on it but it is a slog right now. I have picked other goal that seem more fun. I won't be able to get it all done this month. I went to Belize with my sister in 2008. Way way over due for a book. I started before but I don't think the template set was right. Time to try again. At least I have picked some pictures. Well I got one month done. It rained more so I didn't get the scrap while my daughter was in the pool. I am going to think for a bit before I make my September goals. My daughter starts grade 1 tomorrow so I should have more time. |
