After my chiropractic appointment this a.m., I decided to stop at our local Tuesday Morning and was very disappointed to find the whole store emptied of everything - no merchandise, even the shelving units were gone. I've read posts where other peas have said they've lost their Tuesday Morning stores, too. For me, Tuesday Morning was THE place to go to get scrapbook supplies. But I have to admit, this had been during pre-Covid days. But as much as I liked TM, it was never the same after Covid. JoAnn's is two doors down from TM. JoAnn's was always expensive, but it's gotten worse over the past few years. We still have a Michaels and a Hobby Lobby in the other side of town, but they are out of the way for me. It looks like I'll be scrapbook shopping more and more online. Just wondering what are the favorite places for the peas to scrapbook shop.

All Tuesday Morning's are out of business now. I do miss them- not just for scrapbook supplies- I bought a lot of other things there too. I used to get all of my reader glasses there- $10 for 3 pairs. My Tuesday Morning is now a Chuck E Cheese.
I scrapbook shop online. JoAnn has super old stuff, except for Tim Holtz and the American Crafts designer section. Michael's has totally switched to their brand now.
I won't go in Hobby Lobby because they are unethical.
If I want anything new I shop online.

Tuesday Morning will be missed! The 2 around me were among the first closures, but I'd sometimes find one when I travelled. It was always fun to wander around!

The closest Tuesday Morning is closed by me, they were cleaned out almost the same day they put the sign up they were closing. I'm fortunate to have 2 independent craft stores within 15 miles (one only a mile away) so I'll buy from them when I need something. I almost never get any scrapbook supplies from Joanns or Michaels because they don't really have anything I would use. I do buy adhesive from there sometimes. Anything I can't find at my local stores I'll buy online. I also refuse to buy from Hobby Lobby same reason as artbabe.

Tuesday Morning was my go-to place to shop for scrapbook supplies between 2015-2020. My son had tutoring a few miles from two TM stores and I would alternate between the two each week. I always walked away with new crafty goodies! I was looking through my supplies last night and so many of them have the TM sticker on them. Oh, how I loved buying Thickers for $1.99! I think they were up to $2.49/pack, but still a great deal.
Once Covid hit, the craft sections went downhill and never recovered.

i remember when TM had a great SB aisle. wide range of products at great prices. then selection started getting smaller and smaller and dominated by one or two brands. i stopped going at that point.
michael's used to be my go-to place but the pandemic struck, they did away with the 40-50% coupons. the SB selection was drastically reduced. hobby lobby did away with the 40% coupons and the 50% off sales of Tim Holtz stuff. now it's 40% of their store brand stuff. i then shifted my dollars to Joann. our joann is a superstore. their SB and stamping section is pretty well stocked so they now get most of my money.

For clarity, it was reported on Valentine's Day that Tuesday Morning was shuttering half of its locations as part of bankruptcy restructuring & would continue operations with the remaining 200 stores. On April 29, Tuesday Morning announced it was going out of business (i.e. permanently closing all stores nationwide)! See discussions here & there. It was my understanding that all stores physically closed by the end of June. I have not stopped at a Tuesday Morning or most of the big box craft stores since mid-2021; none of our local stores are conveniently located or IMHO worth the trip. TM quit getting Bazzill; HL no longer stocks metal dies (or VersaFine Clair inks) & focuses on its numerous in-house brands; Michael's only offers its in-house brands; & JoAnn is heavily fabric focused & not a designer destination (& I don't buy American Craft brands, except Bazzill, anyway) with just a couple of papercrafting aisles (& the paper racks are covered with plastic when it rains because the roof leaks!). ETA: See this thread for online store suggestions. HTH.

I rarely found any scrapbook stuff at Tuesday Morning.
I shop online at: A cherry on top (my favorite) Scrapbook.com
In person: Hobby Lobby Michaels and Joann, but they rarely get any new scrapbook stuff. Joann has had some of the same scrapbook paper pads for 20+ years.

The 2 TMs near me closed before Covid. The west coast ones didn’t seem to get the items I’d see in haul videos but we did have some nice things. Then the vultures swooped in, bought up the good stuff, and turned around and sold the items on ebay at higher prices. Sometimes they even left the TM price stickers on.

Sigh.... I have plenty of TM morning stuff around my house. Crafty and non-crafty stuff. I get a little sad when I come across something in my stash that has the TM sticker on it

We had a lot of TM stores in my area. I stopped by nearly evey week pre-COVID. The shutdowns made me start using my stash more, and also got me to reorganize my craft room. I had spent far too much money at TM on scrapping stuff. My large hoard went to super hoard.
By the time the last TM closed (and my area literally had one of the last ones), they weren’t getting in much that was interesting or worth buying, anyway, and I have more than I can ever use up.
If I need something, which is rare, I can get it online. I still buy a bit here and there, and I go to conventions when I can, but again, I bought so much in the past, that I am focusing on using my stash now.
I did notice recently that one of the big box craft stores had more attractive papers than in the past. I think it was Michaels. I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to browse or shop for anything other than what I had gone to get, so I didn’t linger. I may have to go back just to buy some of their patterned papers.

I’m really going to miss them. My store was one that closed at the end of March. I got a few things the day I went - some Simple Stories goodies and new paint brushes.
Then on a road trip in May and another one in early June, I visited two more in other states. The last one I happened to visit was in a tourist town and I struck gold there! Stuff was marked an extra 50% off. I was so glad I went in, as I was expecting the craft aisle to not be worth it, but it was nice to have that store be my last visit to one. It was like the good old days of finding the good stuff!
Edited to add where I shop:
Joann’s: I love Joann’s for their section with the current designer AC lines. I’m lucky my store is one of the stores that carries these and I wait for sales to get what I want. I also like to get my Bazzill cardstock here by the sheet and they carry a big selection of Tim Holtz’s things too.
Michael’s: my store is small so they don’t carry as much as other stores. But I like to buy my vinyl here! And also Copic Markers when they do sales (I buy a few at a time as I’m building a collection). It’s very close to me though so I also end up popping in more than I would if it wasn’t
Online: I pretty much exclusively shop at ACOT and scrapbook.com. ACOT is my favorite but I really like some of the exclusives at scrapbook.com and they carry a few different things. So I place orders at both, but more often ACOT. ACOT also gets to me super fast due to my location to them, which is another perk!
Where I don’t shop: Hobby Lobby. I feel like their Paper Studio stuff is all cheap knock off items they copied from other companies.

Our TM stores closed a while ago. Honestly never found anything of value other than old papers and products nobody wanted even at a discount.

In the scrapbook heyday, we had no more than 2 scrapbook stores in our area but they didn't last long. No independent craft stores around here, either.

I bet a good portion of my scrapbook stuff came from TM during that same time line (2015-2020).

I really miss this store, I was finding scrapbook deals there since 2010 My other favorite (online) place to get deals "moved warehouses" and never came back online last January, so now I'm down two places to shop.

My other favorite (online) place to get deals "moved warehouses" and never came back online last January, so now I'm down two places to shop. That is sort of how one of my LSS closed down years ago. "We're having a BIG SALE!. Making room for all the new stuff from CHA!" Three weeks later they announced they were closing due to family issues.
