M pet sitter canceled the morning and afternoon appointment so I will only stop by for half of the day before going to Hilton Head. I generally love ghost tours, but in I arrive around 4 or 5, eat dinner at a vegan spot called fox and fix, and do a ghost tour, what else can I see?
If you can recomend a ghost tour, that is great, I love walking ones that focus on historical folk lore/scandal rather than theatrical type stuff.
My budget is open, but be reasonabe. No $300 boat rides (insert histerical laugh emoji)
Thanks a ton :-)
Of interest is the cathedral, the cemetary, maybe the trolley, but time is tight.

We toured the cathedral and the fort that is right on the edge of town. We also toured the Mercer house and lived that. Bu really, walking around the area around the Mercer house and the cathedral was my favorite.

I would walk through Forsyth Park and enjoy the Spanish moss. The cathedral is gorgeous. River Street is touristy, but great for picking up some special treats like candied pecans or pralines from River Street Sweets.

My absolute favorite thing to do there is wander through Bonaventure Cemetery. I've never done a tour, but they have them. I don't think they are necessarily ghost tours though.

Since you are tight on time, get a map and decide carefully where you want to go. Savannah is a surprisingly large city for historical sites. You'll want to choose your parking area carefully so you can do most things without having to move your car.
Hope you enjoy Hilton Head. It's beautiful!

I enjoy a walk down River Street and looking in the shops. Buy a couple pralines at the candy store. Enjoy a cafe au lait on a sidewalk table.

I really enjoyed the cemetery as well as walking around the Riverfront.

We enjoyed the hop on/hop off tour. We took the full loop and then took it again, getting off at the places we identified as explore-worthy in the first ride. We parked at the tour office (I think it was near the SCAD?)
Have fun! I loved Savannah like I didn't expect to.

Ok, so we ended up doing the hop on hop off tour and checking out thevegan cafe the cathedral and the cemetary. I am glad to see scad was there, my son was considering it--but otherwise we just spent time walking around. I was exhaunsted and didn't do the ghost tour.
Love the spanish moss, old buildings and architecture-
