The sculpture at the State Fair of Texas has a different "theme" each year sculptured out of the butter.

The Iowa State Fair is the grandaddy of the Butter Cows! I have seen many! It was fun to watch Duffy Lyon work on the sculptures. Also, free hard boiled eggs on a stick right next to the butter cow, from the Iowa Egg Council. LOL

The Royal Winter Fair in Toronto has excellent butter sculptures. I will take pictures in November.

This stunned me:
According to the artists, the butter gets better the more it’s worked, and one sculpture’s butter can be reused for up to 10 years.

We had a lady that would carve the Winter Carnival princesses at our state fair for years and years. She retired last year but they found a new guy to take over the tradition this year. The princesses get to keep their butter heads after the fair is over.
