An arboretum close to us has three of these Forest Giants We've gone to see them a couple times-the grandsons have loved it! I have great respect for the efforts of this arboretum anyway, but this particular exhibit has really encouraged little ones to get out into nature and play!

I love big public art pieces like that. This one is particularly fun and quirky!

Love his work. We need more art like this in the world.

Vermont Troll
He recently completed one here in Vermont. However, I just saw a story last night that the people who own the land that is is on have now decided to not allow use of the path to get to it because there have been too many people. Big thumbs down from me, how do you not know ahead of time this is going to cause a lot of foot traffic? If you didn’t want that you should not have offered your land. So now we have a cool troll that you really can’t get to to see. I will be interested in seeing how this works out.

The newest one (Ole Bolle) is right by me! We went to visit him this past weekend. I wish he had wild hair like some of the others, but alas, he is bald.
