I think it could go either way depending on what shoes are worn with it.
I do think it is a little short to wear to the "office" but to a fundraising event it should be fine.
Cute dress, it looks really comfy.

I think it lends more to casual than business casual, but with the right accessories could be considered more business casual. For a fundraiser event, it definitely works.

I think it is a little too casual.. I would go with something more conservative.. but it just depends on where the event is held, the weather and so on

I would have to agree on the casual part. As far as business casual, if it’s an artsy business then it could pass for the business part as well.

Not business casual. Also, you could be dry hot in that dress in Dallas in a month or not. September can be iffy anywhere in Texas but I wouldn’t be caught dead in black and sleeves in September in Texas! A nice belted short sleeved dress in autumn colors with a handy business jacket/blazer is what I would go with.

For a fundraiser (social event) I think it’s totally fine. I’d wear cute shoes and bag with it - no problem. (I ordered 4 tuckernut dresses last summer and sadly have only worn one of them….)

In this day and age, I don't think short skirts/dresses can not be classified not being business casual. I'd wear it in a heartbeat. It is a really cute dress.

I think you could get away with it. I've seen similar styles at attorney happy hours and lunches. The business world has become much more casual since covid.

That would work with the right shoes, jewelry and clutch in Houston. Dallas I'm not sure about. Cute dress though. Sending you a pm.

It’d be adorable with sneakers, booties, or sandals like the model is wearing. ❤️

Also, I love it in the chambray fabric. What a great cruise/beach/pool outfit, yes? I don’t even do those things and now I want it in the chambray 😆

I'm a bit of a fuddy-duddy but it seems a bit short for a professional look - cute though

I think it looks really short and would be worried that a breeze would come and blow it up. Or if you have to bend over…

That chambray version is giving me life- so cute with tights and boots for fall (I’m shorter but it looks pretty short and I think I’d have to wear tights to feel ok about it) but it’s sold out in all sizes.

I think it's fine for business casual, especially since it's a fund raiser.
I'd dress it up w/ a gold pendent necklace (I have one from Julie Vos that would be perfect w/ that dress).

I'm late to the party but I love the dress. My DD's college colors are red and white, so I'd love to have the dress in red for campus events. So cute! TFS!
