I don't think I have one. I'm all over the place, it just depends on what colors are in the photos.

I always choose blues and purples first and then remind myself that there are other colors available. I try to be 50/50 blues and purples and the other colors. I’m much more successful at that around October, November and December!

I love a good kraft cardstock base.
I can go in a million directions from starting there.

I don't tend to use a lot of pinks/purples but that's more because they don't work too well with my photos and less because I avoid them.

I gravitate toward more muted shades for the most part. Greens, blues, teals, and greys are my most-used shades, but I use lots of other colors depending on the colors in my photos. If I'm trying to use a particular pp/collection or specific embellishments I'll use whatever colors or neutrals go with it.
For certain photos, I love me some grunge/distressed papers and/or a neutral palette, usually with other pops of color.
I very rarely ever use purple, orange, a primary palette, a fully pastel palette, or an overall bright palette.

Now, can you guess my favorite color (hint…it’s purple) and most purchased collections/color schemes? I know if I ever finish scrapping all of my old summer/baby layouts I’m going to have tons of products in those color palettes left over because I don’t have enough of those pics to justify the amount of product I own. The colors I use are also dictated by the photos, I have yet to even use themed paper or embellishments if they don’t look good with the photo. Some people can make it work, I am decidedly not one of those people. But if I end up noticing it, no matter how much I liked the layout at first glance, it will bother me every time I come across it again.

I default to a black base. Yep, black. Even my journaling is white text on a black background. And then onto that I add the brightest colours I can find that match my photos. Hardly ever neutrals, hardly ever pastels, I love contrast and splashed of bright colours.

I don't have a most used color. I like brighter colors, jewel tones, primary colors.

It (usually) depends on the subject of the scrapbook!
Our wedding/honeymoon and card scrapbooks are fall colors (even if it was 70* and sunny...in the middle of October); the ticket scrapbook is red and blue because those are the colors of the teams most featured in the book; and the one I'll make for our Saturday trips to Philly are red, white, and blue.
That said...the ones for our trips to Chicago, Lancaster/Hershey, and Norfolk are sort of all over the place. I have been tempted to put the Lancaster/Hershey and Norfolk ones into 8x8 albums because they were just one night trips and I could use the 12x12 books for something else. 🤷🏻♀️

I use colors including black pretty evenly except blue and purple. Purple Mostly because there are rarely purple supplies and blue because it’s my least favorite color to use. My most used are probably pink, yellow, red, black.

Looking at my gallery I apparently use a lot of aqua/turquoise, a fair amount of pink/pinky reds, and not much else. I know I use the other colours, I usually try to coordinate colours to my photos, but I'm surprised how often I use those same two colours.
I typically use and prefer softer shades, although I will use a more vibrant piece to liven up a layout when needed.

I am all over the place as far as color. I would say I gravitate towards jewel tones and brighter colors. I love scrapbooking fall photos, because I love all those colors.

I don't think I have one... I take a lot more photos during the summer so I probably use more summer and nature colors because of that. I have/had three high schoolers with purple in their school colors (two different schools) so probably I scrap with more purple than the average person

I like all colors and they are usually decided by the colors on the photos, and also what kind of mood/feeling I want on my page. But, thinking back on layouts, I do think that I tend to use a lot of golden oranges/yellows/rust colors because I think a lot of my photos go with those colors.

I would love to see some of your pages. ;
Me too. Please share, lg !
My colour palette varies with the seasons. But blues and teals and aquas seem to end up in all of them. Awhile ago I identified yellow as my least used colour of pp (based on the dirth of yellow pieces in my scrap cupboard). But today I posted my second LO in two days with yellow/gold as my base. Go figure... I am not a fan of pastel shades and usually go for the bold.

I use a lot of blue because I have a lot of outside photos. Then it’s either green, pink or orange for accents.
I don’t use a lot of red, except in my DD. And I can never make yellow work, although I like the color, especially a cheery yellow.

I don't think I have one. It depends on the theme. If it doesn't have a theme, I look at the photos and try to pull out some colors.

I would use pastels for all my layouts if I could. Lately I’ve been using more brights.
I try to match the color of my layouts to the photos as much as I can. That said, I have difficulty completing layouts with neutral muted tones. They aren’t my thing, making the process much less enjoyable.

Making us think PaperAngel. I do try to use colors from the photos or that will blend with the photos well. Seems like I use a lot of teals, blues, greens, & pinks. Even though I'm not a purple fan, I'm going to be doing some purple-y l/o-s for my great gr-dau's sb. LavenderLayoutLady, I love the look of a kraft background as well. Someday I'm going to do a sb with all kraft bases.

Thanks for your responses. It's interesting to read the various approaches to/inspiration for color palettes, such photos, subject, mood/feeling, seasons, theme, etc. My "signature" color palette is different shades of grey & white paired with at least one other color (e.g. grey/white/woodgrain, pale grey/white/purple/teal, charcoal/white/red/black) because it provides a crisp, clean, & neutral foundation for my stories about our (now college-aged) son & his activities.
