How many tabs do you keep open on a regular basis on your phone (or maybe nobody does and I'm the crazy person  .
My kids always tell me I have too many tabs open. I've had 14 tabs open for at least the past 6 months (was around 10 before that).
1 Google home page
Two Peas Refugees
4 different game sites
2 ESPN pages
1 craft site
1 TV forum site
Work email via Outlook
Obituary Pages for my sister-in-law and nephew who passed recently
Law & Order Wikipedia
How many is too many?

I have 66 tabs. Some are recipes that I should print or a pattern or link to something I might want to buy. Then a few different sites that I use as reference including a school calendar. I really need to pare it down a bit as it’s getting out of hand.

Some are recipes, most are things I have researched/looked up, a couple are just sites I found that I really like. |

I currently have 61. I did recently get my desktop browser down to 15 tabs and that's a huge improvement lol.

I only ever have 1 tab open unless I am actively using more than 1 for a task such as comparing products. I don’t get why you would routinely have lots - aren’t bookmarks easier to manage, easier to find what you’re looking for instead of clicking through lots of tabs?
I have a bookmark folder called “research” that I use as a temporary holder for sites that I haven’t finished with yet, but don’t want to keep long term. Most others get filed in appropriate folders & sub-folders of bookmarks, with the sites I use daily filed as top-level.

I can see what they all are by scrolling, no need to click. I can see about 6 screenshots of them at a time on a page. |

I don't intentionally keeps tabs open on my phone, I just go to whatever I'm looking for...either via the app, like Facebook, or google. Now my laptop is another story....  One day not too long ago my Paramount+ show kept pausing in the middle to put that spinny thing on that usually indicates buffering. My laptop is new, and so is our wifi connection, so that made no sense. Then my ds -- aka my Tech Advisor -- asked me how many tabs were open on my laptop and how long they'd been there, and when had I actually closed out of Chrome. um...  Sure enough, closing tabs and reloading Chrome fixed my problem immediately. haha |

Right now? Two. I close things out when I finish with them. I close everything at the end of the day and I make sure to restart my phone every couple days. Keeps everything running smoothly.
I do the same with my laptop, but tend to have a lot open at once while I’m working.

I try to keep the number below 5. I had no idea when I first had my phone that the tabs would stay open. I tried to find something once and got a message about "can't open another tab." I don't even know how many were open at the time...but it was obviously a large number.

89 at the moment. Usually around 90 I go through and try to clean it up a bit but usually don’t get it below 50-60.
I don’t like bookmarking because then my bookmarks get to be too many. However, I recognize this isn’t any better. HA!

16. I often find I have more than I thought because if I click on a link and it opens a new tab I forget to eventually go close it after I read it.
I used to also have a gazillion recipes, until i finally got into the habit of saving a recipe I liked to Paprika 3 right away. That helped a lot.
My DH has 0. He always closes all his tabs right away. Amazing. Ha.

DD and I actually had this conversation just earlier this evening! I have 20 currently open on my phone, and 14 on my iPad. I prune them both regularly and ruthlessly. DD has 389 open on her phone. I’ve just called down to DS and he has 500 open on his phone. Another neurodivergent household! 😄
