For a second time in a week, Donald Trump threatened to jail his political opponents, this time telling Senate Republicans to get ready to help him.

Trump began by throwing out some of his favorite slogans on Truth Social including "Russia hoax," "No Collusion!" "Mueller Hoax" "Fake Dossier!" Not included was his often repeated phrase "Perfect Call" relating to both the Ukraine call and the call to Georgia officials demanding they "find" him votes to win.

"They spied on my Campaign, Impeached me twice," he proclaimed without naming who "they" is. "If I am elected, they will be brought to JUSTICE, something that Republicans have always been afraid to do."

In a second post, Trump explained why the Senate must not only go Republican, but be for Republicans that will support him in his crusade to jail his political opponents.

"Right now Republicans in Congress and the Senate have to get tough, and put everything together in one big, neat package, because I will be President in one and a half years, and we will pick the strongest, toughest, and most respected Attorney General, and if guilty, we will put them all in jail where they belong, just as they are trying to do to me based on NOTHING," he ranted.

No Republican Senators have commented on the pledge to indicate whether or not they'd support jailing such opponents.

Biden Administration to Bar Drilling on Millions of Acres in Alaska
The administration will cancel oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and set aside more than half of the National Petroleum Reserve.

In its most aggressive move yet to protect federal land from oil and gas exploration, the Biden administration announced on Wednesday that it would prohibit drilling in 13 million acres of pristine wilderness in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska and cancel all drilling leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

The new regulations would ensure what the administration called “maximum protections” for nearly half of the petroleum reserve but would not stop the enormous $8 billion Willow oil drilling project in the same vicinity, which President Biden approved this year.

David Weiss, the newly appointed special counsel tapped to prosecute President Biden’s son Hunter after a failed plea agreement, filed court papers Wednesday saying he intends to seek an indictment in the case before the end of the month.

Weiss’s three-page filing to the federal court in Delaware suggests the indictment will be on a gun charge.

I agree. I understand why Hunter Biden being charged is in the political thread, but in my opinion it isn't political. He isn't a political figure. He isn't involved in politics currently. Only the Republicans think he is.
To me him being charged is as political as a c list celebrity being charged with something. That being said if a crime was committed of course he should be charged. Just like anyone else.

Tuberville has been telling stories about his father's WWII service which are not true...(Tuberville, the same man that could NOT name the three branches of our government)


Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) got busted for apparently lying about his father's service during World War II.

The Alabama Republican, who is infamously blocking the promotions of more than 265 military officers over an abortion directive issued by the secretary of defense, has consistently said for years that his father Charles Tuberville Jr. earned five Bronze Stars and took part in the D-Day landing after lying about his age to join the Army.

But a Washington Post fact checker found some false elements in the senator's account.

An examination of army histories, newspaper reports and other materials calls into question many of the claims put forth by Tuberville, who sits on both the Senate Armed Services and Veterans’ Affairs committees and is now in a high-profile battle with the Biden administration over a Defense Department policy offering time off and travel reimbursement to service members who need to go out of state for abortions," wrote Post columnist Glenn Kessler.

The Pentagon warns that Tuberville's holds are endangering military readiness because 650 general and flag officers will require Senate confirmation at the end of this year, but ironically, his inaccurate claims about his father promoted him to tank commander.

"Charles Tuberville’s tombstone lists his highest rank as 'TEC 5' or technician fifth grade, an Army rank at the time that indicated technical skills but not combat leadership," Kessler wrote. "According to a 1944 Army memo, TEC 5 jobs were limited to armorer, cook, tank driver, light truck driver or tank mechanic. Tuberville would have needed to be a sergeant to be a tank commander [but his report of separation listed his rank as TEC 5]."

"That said, it’s possible that at some point in the war as a TEC 5 he commanded a tank if the unit was strapped for leaders," Kessler added, "and he was deemed capable enough by his superiors."

The elder Tuberville's draft registration card shows he entered the service on his 18th birthday, and although he earned a Purple Heart after he was lightly wounded in Germany, he did not earn any Bronze Stars, let alone a remarkable five of them, but it's possible that he indeed took part in the D-Day invasion.

"Family histories often include myths or stories that become exaggerated as they are handed down from generation to generation," Kessler wrote. "Most of the Army personnel records from World War II were destroyed in a 1973 fire, making confirmation difficult. There is no doubt that Tuberville’s father faced difficult and dangerous combat under trying conditions, including during the Battle of the Bulge, the German counteroffensive in the Ardennes. We are not questioning his heroism or service."

"So we will not be issuing a Pinocchio rating but instead will highlight what elements of the senator’s story raise questions or are inaccurate — and which ones appear to be correct," he added.
