I have heard that there are other desktop programs out there that are not a monthly or yearly subscription. I do have a Photoshop edition from maybe 2018, but am looking for something that might be more user friendly. Does anyone have one that they like? Free is great too if it works well.

I use Photoshop Elements, you can still buy the standalone software (instead of a subscription like the full version of Photoshop). There is a bit of a learning curve but there's tons of tutorials for whatever you want to do.

I print at Persnickety.. but im sure that’s true if you print at home.

I have both PS and PS Elements and mainly use PSE. Lots of great tutorials and user friendly.

I am going to try taking pictures in RAW or CRAW and I have heard there are other ones that are much easier to use.
