SPECIAL CHALLENGES FOR QUARTER FOUR 2023
SKETCHtember: a new challenge every day of September. Earn 5 points for using the sketch on a project, 1 point for using the twist on any project, and a bonus of 2 points for using them both for the same project. Bonus of 500 points for completing all 30 sketches by end of day Sunday, October 8th.
CARDtober: a new card challenge every day of October. Earn 5 points for creating a card for a challenge, 1 for using the twist on any project, and bonus of 2 points for using both the challenge and the twist on one card. Bonus of 500 points for completing all of the 31 card challenges by end of day Wednesday November 8th.

MONTHLY challenges
M-1: Donna Challenge. donna was a Pea who passed away much too soon. We all remember her desire to complete her family scrapbooks at the end. To honour her, we credit photos, scrapped, pages completed and meeting scrapbooking goals. For the Donna challenge, earn

Ten points per page created with each monthly theme. Bonus of 25 points for meeting all three monthly themes.
M-2: Paid by the HOUR Challenge.
• Whether you craft with paper or cloth, glue and photos or mixed media, yarn or ink: earn TEN points for every hour spent crafting. Double your points per hour if you are crafting with another person, whether in person or on line. When you finish a project of ten hours or more, give yourself a BONUS of ONE HUNDRED POINTS!
• Earn TEN points for every hour you spend organizing your crafting supplies or cleaning/reorganizing your craft space
M-3: Card Challenges• Sheetload of Cards Challenge posted by azcrafty . One point per card + TEN points for completing the set. Plus a BONUS of TEN points for meeting each month’s special challenge.
• Twelve Card Challenge posted by Eddie-n-Harley . One point per card, TWENTY points per dozen cards created in any one month. BONUS of TEN points per dozen if you meet each month’s theme. C/M-2 Take a Whirl on the Color Wheel: Make a project using complimentary colors (opposites on the color wheel) ex.Red/Green, Blue/Orange, Yellow/Violet.
C/M-3 Another Color Whirl: Use Analogous colors on your project. (together on the color wheel) ex.Red/Red-Orange/Orange, Blue/Blue-Green/Green
C/M-4 Black and white and red all over - Use only black, white and shades of red
C/M-5 Make a monochromatic project. Shades of one color. Can add a bit of metallics and neutrals.
C/M-6 Silvery winter - use silver, grey, and cool blue colors.
C/M-7 Autumn - use shades of orange, yellow, and brown

TECHNIQUES
T-1 Use a stencil.
T-2 Try that stamp. Use a stamp you haven't used before
T-3 Stamp that title. Use an alpha stamp set to make your title (or part of your title)/sentiment
T-4 Make an impression: use an embossing folder or other embossing technique
T-5 Dying to try it... Use a die you haven't used before
T-6 Piece it. Use a multi-piece die set to 'paper piece'
T-7 Back it up. Back a cut file
T-8 Cut it out. Cut a title (dies or cutting machine)
T-9 Let It Move: Make some part of your project interactive. Can be a removable tag, hidden journaling or something that pops.
T-10 On the Fold: Use some type of folded paper on your project.
T-11 Chalk it up - Use chalk to edge your pictures or shapes
T-12 Use a sketch.
T-13 Use the negative space from a punch or die cut
T-14 decorate the inside. Put something inside a letter, like a flower in the middle of an O
T-15 Stitch it, with thread or faux stitching with a die or pen
T-16 Heat it up - use heat embossing or hot foiling
T-17 Glue it down - use glue to add embellishment like foil or glitter

T-19 Blend over the top - use more ink over the top of some ink blending (stencil, Joseph's Coat, vignette edges)

T-22 Custom cardstock - use any technique to color your own cardstock for an element
T-23 Water it down - use watercolor or watercolor powders/pencils/crayons on your project

WORDS/titles
W/t-1 Name that month! Use the name of a month as part of your title on a page or greeting on a card.
W/t-2 Descriptive Words - use at least 8 words to describe your layout - such as sun - beach - sand - water - kids - summer - family - friends for a beach day
W/t-2 Use a season name in your title/sentiment
W/t-3 Use a holiday word/name in your title/sentiment
W/t-4 Special language. Use wording that's specific to your family/part of an in-joke, like a nickname you use for a place you go or food you eat
W/t-5 Mother tongue. Use a word from your mother tongue on your project (yes, even if your native language is English!)
W/t-6 Use a French word on your project
W/t-7 Use a Spanish word on your project
W/t-8 Learned language Use a word from a language you have studied on your project
W/t-9 Multi lingual Use a word from any other language on your project
W/t-10 tell the story - journal at least 100 words on a project

NUMBERS/SIZES
N/S-1 double digits. Include a two digit number on your card or page or other project.
N/S-2 By the Numbers: Use 2 of something, 3 of something and 4 of something on the same project.
N/S-3 Make it MINI. Create a mini album
N/S-4 Mixed sizes. use at least two different sizes of photos on a LO
N/S-5 Go micro. Use a teeny tiny element on your project
N/S-6 Go mega. Use a really big element on your project (big relative to the size of your card/page/style)
N/S-7 Use the number 31
N/S-8 Use the number 25
N/S-9 Take five. Add 5 of something, like 5 gems on a card
N/S-10: 3x3 create 3 clusters of at least 3 items each on 1 project
N/S-11: Generation 2 - Scrap a photo that has TWO generations of people in it

N/S-13 Generation 4 - Scrap a photo that has FOUR generations of people in it
