...putting all the things to make a page into a large Ziploc bag, and never actually making the page. The photos aren't in my to-scrap pile, so I *must* have scrapped it, right?
I think opening the bags is too much work for my lazy self. I am going to try hanging folders...
What are you guilty of in your scrap life?

I'm guilty of telling myself I absolutely do not need that new tool, collection, cutting machine, etc....and then buying it on launch day. Oops.

I'm guilty of starting projects and not finishing them (I'm looking at you, December Daily 2014-2017...).
Not photographing and posting my layouts on my Instagram account.
Having enough supplies to open my own store. Without a craft room, I have stuff stashed in every room of the house and I can't find ANYTHING! One day, when my kids start leaving the nest, I will have a craft room again...

Buying more supplies than I can ever use. Organizing the supplies. Not using the supplies but buying more supplies. Rinse and repeat.

Im guilty of starting one project and getting side tracked. I swear I have crafty ADHD. Just from yesterday and today, I have worked on OLW, PL, updating my stamp organization, updated my calendar, ordered DD supplies, and started working on my Fall Cards for the swap. Everything started, nothing finished.

Having full set syndrome. Organising more than crafting. Having one photo left to print for a huge project and never quite getting around to it so it sits 99.9% complete but not put away for months.

Overbuying too many supplies for a special set of pictures. Most recently my daughter was in a wedding so I overbought wedding scrapbook stuff and will have so much left over.

I am guilty of not printing photos. I told myself I would keep up, but I haven't. I told myself that I would upload and have multiple walgreens albums ready (uploaded and edited), so when they have a special (print 100+ for .10cents or .12cents.....I would be ready to send the album-order over electronically. I planned to have several albums ready to go.....but I haven't even uploaded one photo.

...putting all the things to make a page into a large Ziploc bag, and never actually making the page. The photos aren't in my to-scrap pile, so I *must* have scrapped it, right? I think opening the bags is too much work for my lazy self. I am going to try hanging folders... What are you guilty of in your scrap life? I do this, but it’s planned that way. When I buy paper or embellishments for a particular photo/set of photos I put it/them in a plastic sealable bag (like they pass out in classes) or a plastic snap envelope, depending on how much I have. Then if I’m not ready to scrap it right then (because I need something else, need to scan and print photos, or just am not in the mood) I file it with the others, usually in date order. So everything is together when I am ready to do more work on it. Sometimes I’ll take it out and play around with layouts and sketches, jot down notes and journaling ideas and put it back. This way I’m not working on anything I feel I have to work on, it’s all what I want to work on. I’m guilty of being more of a collector than I am a scrapper. I’m okay with that. People collect stamps why can’t I collect paper crafting supplies? Im guilty of starting one project and getting side tracked. I swear I have crafty ADHD. Just from yesterday and today, I have worked on OLW, PL, updating my stamp organization, updated my calendar, ordered DD supplies, and started working on my Fall Cards for the swap. Everything started, nothing finished. I’m exactly the same. But my main goal is to have fun playing with my supplies rather than to get so many layouts in a specific time frame so that’s okay with me. It usually takes me at least a couple of years to make a set of holiday cards because I pick them up and put them down after doing just a portion so much! Overbuying too many supplies for a special set of pictures. Most recently my daughter was in a wedding so I overbought wedding scrapbook stuff and will have so much left over. Yes, this right here! Especially since my pages are more streamlined with touches of patterned papers and embellishments. Why did I need 4 different embellishment packs from the lastest 49 and Market collections???

Like you, I had my stash stored in multiple places. I have enough adhesive to last a decade.

If I have a favorite photo or two, I will buy enough paper and embellishments to make an album for it. Gotta make sure I have all of the right stuff.
Yesterday my son and I took a little mountain trip to photograph the Rocky Mountain goats. bighorn sheep and marmots that frequent the rocks at the top. We also found the elusive pika! Been searching for that guy for years. He was two feet off of the trail just yelling at us. I have soooooooo much nature paper that I could create ten albums. Will that stop me from buying more? Ha. No, it will not.

Guilty of it all. mom, I esp. do the distracted by another project (or almost anything). It seems I'm not happy unless I have 2 or 3 things going at once. And it takes me forever to finish just one. @breetheflea, hope your new method works for you.

I have a system that works well for me. I stamp out the images when I buy a new stamp set. That goes in my reference book. Same system for dies. Guilty of having an occasional shopping spree and being too tired or doing other things and not logging or even using my great new goodies.
Also guilty of about 90% of the already mentioned items, especially overbuying and wanting the full set (kind of go together).
Oh and this tread just reminded me I need to get my pictures printed.

I'm guilty of buying supplies, putting them away, and completely and totally forgetting about them. When I come across them I have no memory of purchasing them. I should go through my supplies more often or keep my most recent purchases in one spot for a while and use them before they go with the rest of my stash. Maybe I'll have a better memory of them that way.

I’m guilty of buying more than I will ever be able to use. I also KNOW this and say I won’t buy something but FOMO gets me. I even prefer having less supplies and being creative with what I have… yet I still overbuy. It’s almost like a separate hobby than the actual creating.

Coming to the pea board for some light entertaintment. That's it, no other reason. Then suddenly I've hit the buy button for stuff I had no idea existed or was on sale!

…thinking that if it is on sale, I should get 2. Or three.
Also, I want everything to match. So if I buy 1 album and I love it, I have a really hard time keeping myself from replacing every album I own with that new album.
Finally, my big issue is getting very excited about a project, planning it all out, buying all the stuff and then never getting around to it.

Telling myself I don't need any more _____ (fill in the blank with any scrappy supply) yet I buy more anyway. Just today I made two trips to Joann's to buy one color of cardstock. In my defense the color I bought works perfectly on four pages I had been struggling with so I went back and got more. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
When I got home I discovered I was only charged 12 cents a sheet for the second batch of cardstock I bought. I ended up with 22 of the same color.

…buying supplies because they may not be available years from now if i need them (49 & market)
…thinking i will start doing mixed media when i don’t like to get my hands dirty — i have all the tim inks and sprays but can’t bring myself to “go there”. i will try using some gloves but im not convinced
…buying products i can create with my silhouette or scan n cut - like metal dies. why? this was my justification for purchasing the tools in the first place
…not purging things i know i’ll never use — baby & toddler products, wood stamps, club scrap collections
it was nice to get that off my chest. now back to shopping🤣

Not finishing an album before moving onto the next, and not putting LO’s in the albums soon enough. I end up with huge piles of random LO’s that need a home.

How do y’all decide what size to print your photos ahead of time? It’s never until I’m actually designing the page that I figure it out.

It’s never until I’m actually designing the page that I figure it out. When I’m batch printing, I default to mostly 4x6. If I have a lot of photos from a certain event, I may combine a few into 2 3x4s. Or if I have photos that are more contextual, such as the flowers and cake from a wedding, where I don’t need the whole big photo but just want the photos as part of the details. But when batch printing, 90% or more are 4x6 just to keep it simple. I print more than what I normally end up using, to give myself options, and also remember a lot of photos can be cut down if needed.

I classify photos as: - superb, focal, can stand on their own. They get printed at 3x4, 4x6 and 5x7. - good photos but need 2 or more to tell the story get printed at 3x4 and 4x6 - meh photos or supporting photos at 3x4 I end up having duplicates of course, but I really like having options when designing, and also find I like to go back and use the really good photos on multiple layouts eg. comparisons through the years, supporting photos when telling the story from a different perspective.

…not purging things i know i’ll never use — baby & toddler products, wood stamps, club scrap collections Let me know if you decide to purge the CS kits -- the papers are such high quality and even the page kits are good for card making! It finally happened. I have been shopping rather recklessly, though I'm getting better. I've got a better sense now than I did a year ago of my style, techniques and brands I prefer, and those that don't work for me and/or I don't enjoy. I am officially outgrowing my space. Or I officially need to start purging more diligently. Because while I haven't duplicated a purchase or completely forgotten that something I bought exists in there are all, I have misplaced a purchase for the first time. I KNOW I bought A2 card boxes from Clear Bags. I know that they're in there somewhere. I just haven't the slightest clue where. I thought I had pulled one out for a gift for early October, but I'm not finding that one either.
