He is my favorite architect! There is a home here in Amarillo that he designed and I would love to live there (if it were in a better location. The neighborhood is pretty run down now, and that makes me so sad!)

Very cool, thanks for sharing! I studied architecture for a while and while I think he is so freaking talented I’ve never liked the style. Though I would love to see one of his designs in person.

Cloquet is a small town just a bit south of Duluth. If you are ever in the area, stop to see the gas station and then have lunch at Gordy's High Hat of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives fame! They have great shakes and are famous for their onion rings and fish sandwiches. And of course burgers too.

Fun Fact: Marion Mahony Griffin was a female architect who worked under FLW and was instrumental (or outright responsible) but uncredited in many of his most famous designs. You can find her hidden initials in many of his illustrations (which she did), FLW was groundbreaking in hiring female architects, but would also take credit for everything they did.
