Welcome to Monday and another sketch peas! I'm back on track and using sketches from Shimelle's bobw series. Last week, she shared 6 sketches that featured 2 4x6 photos side by side. Here is the screen grab: shimelle 4x6 sketches by kirstendrew, on Flickr This is the link to the video where she made the sketches then used the first: shimelle bobwFor this week, I am using #3 - the one she called "half and half plus diagonal" meaning your background is split half and half, and your embellishments are along a diagonal. I chose that because I wanted to play off the white swan/black swan in my photos, and thought a black and white background would work. I'd also like to point out that I used an old pp by Paige Evans, and punched out a circle that said "wingin' it" to feature on the picture of my dd "spreading her swan wings". Only scrapbookers will understand the joy in using a punny phrase that you never expected... layout from cygnet to swan by kirstendrew, on Flickr My twists are to PIVOT your design. I chose to move my embellishment clusters off the diagonal and use a more traditional triangle. This week, to meet the twist, you may either move any of the embellishment clusters or the title or the journaling, OR you may chose one of the other 5 sketches Shimelle sketched out!!! Challenge team members, 5 points for the sketch, and 7 points if you include the twist. grammadee - for the master thread!

Oooooh, we're spoilt for choice this week! I'm leaning towards the first one, Starburst, because I have lots of similar papers and template backgrounds that I have been wanting to use.

Oh I'm so glad to see this! I did not get a screengrab, but wanted to go back later and grab it, so thank you for putting them here! Your layout is gorgeous!

Pivot is my middle name! The first page here is for Shimelle's fourth sketch (too big for the shelf). The journaling is pivoted over to the left. The title (if I needed one on this page) is on the shelf itself which repeats Happy Birthday. But the real title has pivoted all the way over to the second page! Tried to channel Shimelle with some tucked in bits and bobs. Thanks kitbop for the sketches. Smile It's Photo Time by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Thanks for the great selection of sketches kitbop . I know that I will use several if not all of them at some stage. I did end up choosing the first sketch, as I thought I would when I first saw the sketches. I used the Mixed Media Burst template by Katie Pertiet for the sunbursts. All of the ephemera is from various Katie Pertiet kits and templates. I love that Katie does all the hard work and makes me look creative hahaha!
