ACOT has free shipping today and I want to buy some stencil pastes or sprays or something.
I've been playing with them a lot and really enjoy it.
What are some of your favorites?
It's time to stock up.

Good morning blemon. Thanks for the info about free shipping. I'm not very experienced with the "butters" & "pastes" but I do like the ones that I purchased: the Crafter's Workshop Stencil Butters. The texture is really nice and they've been easy to spread. Since I haven't used them very long, I don't know how they will be longevity-wise (drying out in the jar). Have fun with the ones you decide on.

I use only Golden products. I've had some for years, and they are still as good as new. All the other brands have dried up within months, so I don't buy them. I mix my own colors and add my own glitter.

I already have some gold but it is solid while the champagne has more shimmer too it. The brand is great and well worth the price. I bought one last year and used half of it. This year I'll use the other half. So I don't feel that $4.25 per year is bad. I love the lunar pastes too and they are cheaper. Just don't have a huge variety of colors yet.

I don't know what your preferred color palette is, but I saw the pink lemonade and seafoam Stencil Butters at my LSS and they are gorgeous!!! I have been trying to decide if I would use them enough to justify buying the specific colours, but they are just so pretty.

Thanks! It's good to know how they are in person. It's so hard to tell from the screen.

I haven't used them, not much of a paste person, but the lunar pastes look like a lot of fun. I think they just released 3 metallics so I'd probably get those. BTW the solar pastes are really intriguing me because the color is light, visible especially on black paper, but you can mix it with reinkers to change the paste color while the mica color stays the same. So if you have the "purple" one you can mix a few drops of green into it and get a green paste that's shot through with purple in the light (like shot silk). If I were a paste person I think I'd want them all. I tried to find a still image example but this is the best I can find:

The only ones I own & use are Vicki Boutin glazes. While not helpful to take advantage of free shipping today, the beautiful Azure Blue is scheduled to ship next month.

The crafters workshop has a pearl white that is well worth buying You can mix it with other pastes, paints, inks mica powder et cetera, and kind of create your own paste colors

I have one lunar paste and one solar paste and have yet to try them. I have used HA glitter paste once and it seemed fine, but since I haven't tried the two SH products, I can't compare.
I have shimmer sprays from HA and Altenew and haven't tried either of them, either. Making mental note to make a spray box and try some....

Making mental note to make a spray box and try some.... I don't know where you live but I just go outside and prop my paper up against something (if I want the fine mist). I'll lay it down on the grass if I want more splotches from the spray.

New England -- so sometimes outside works and other times it doesn't (though the garage would much of the time). But look at this cute project: clubscrap.com/a/blog/spray-tray I have the pizza boxes....

It doesn't snow so much here in winter anymore. A few inches every now and again but nothing like when I was a kid.

She gets right to the point showing the mixing of the paste in the first 2 mins, then there's a 5min ad for their new release, but if you skip to about 7:15 you can see the dried solar paste panel on black, very shimmery and gorgeous.
