We have really crappy well water. Our kitchen/bathroom counters have hard water stains (and you can feel the difference) where the water drips from my hands from turning the faucet on, etc on our granite/quartz countertops. It feels really rough where the water dripped vs smooth where there is none. I've tried everything and the only thing that worked was using a razor blade to scrape it off, real time-consuming/PIA. Well I was wandering through Target yesterday and accidentally came across this Scotch Brite scrub and decided to try it. It actually works! I've been in this house 30+ years and this is the best I've found. www.target.com/p/scotch-brite-swift-scrub-bathroom-buildup-remover-2ct/-/A-81450853

Will definitely give these a try. I especially like that they work with just water. The floor and walls in the shower are marble so I have to be careful. Thanks for sharing!

Did you try a magic eraser on stains? They really are magic.

We had this problem in our last house.
Another thing that works well as vinegar. Soak a paper towel with vinegar and lay it across the area that has the calcium buildup. Don’t leave it there too long or it’ll etch your countertops. But an hour or so will be fine. Then use a non-scratch scrubby, and the build up should come right off.
If your faucets have the same calcium buildup in it, you can take a plastic bag and tape or rubber band it to the faucet with vinegar in it, and I’ll do the same thing for you. I’ve also taken a deflated balloon and put vinegar in it, and put it over the faucet, and that works too.

I mix citric acid and dish soap (there’s a method/recipe) so no harsh chemicals and find it works really well on limescale and all sorts of other things.

Have you tried BarKeepers Friend? It works really well. I prefer the powder, and wet it with a scotchbrite pad to scrub. Sometimes you need to let it set a little bit on it too. It really takes of rust stains, if you get those.

I'm going to try it on my lower level patio door. It's horribly spotted from the sprinkler system.
