Thank you everyone for your input and suggestions. I am going to purge and keep only what I love!
Does anyone else have a ton of roller date stamps that they do not use? Back in the day, American Crafts was putting out so many with each collection. I am trying to decide if I should thin the herd and just keep a few that I really like. Tell me, do you use yours often?

I still have all of mine in a bin by my desk and I still use them (even the years that have passed) because I don't scrap in chronological order. I have a bunch of ones with different words & symbols on them and use those a lot too.
If you're not using them, I'd say keep the ones you really like and know you'll use and purge the rest.

I've never actually gotten one but I think if you're using them - keep them. If not, maybe put them in a use or lose box and see if that encourages you to use them. If not, you probably won't miss them

I have a bunch of them too, bagged up to donate. I am keeping one so I can date older things, but I certainly don’t need a dozen with different sentiments!

If you're not using them, then consider donating to a local charity. It will free storage space for supplies you will use, while simultaneously encouraging others' creativity. HTH. ETA: ... I use the Ranger date stamp holder. When it is full, I purge. Looks like this

I use the dates stamps, but never the roller stamps with words and phrases. I should donate them.

i got rid of all of mine. the only ones i want are vintage ones from pre-1980. those would be fun as accent stamping on background paper.

My second hand craft store has a whole bin of roller stamps. I think they look like they'd be easy to use, but eh, I really don't. I have both of the SC huge ones and do use them because I like how big they are.

I have a handful and they're on my list of things to review. I don't tend to reach for the ones with words but I think it's mostly because I don't really know what is on most of the sets. I never thought to keep the backing card as a reference, so I probably need to make my own if I still think they're useful. I use my date stamps pretty regularly, except for a vintage one from the 1940's which I've used a handful of times but don't want to part with.

I bought several and never really got the hang of them. I recently purged a bunch. I just wasn’t using them.

I love them and collect as many different rollers as I can find. For those of you looking to purge/donate, I’d probably take them off of your hands! Happy to pay US postage. Just send me a pm, and I’ll get you my address. I have my rollers catalogued in Evernote and took the time to find mostly stock photos of each roller to help with the catalog process. I have about 20 phrase rollers (including a couple of date rollers that are now surely expired) in my unicorn, “in search of” list. I hesitated to say anything because I only have a couple of posts here, but thought I’d give it a shot - long time lurker ever since we shifted from 2Ps .

I purged everything but two that have alpha and numbers on them. I kept them because I thought they’d be versatile.

I use the Ranger date stamp holder. When it is full, I purge. I love this! Dana White's container theory is my favourite organising tip and this is a perfect example

I like to use a lot of tabs, especially in my December Daily, and 6x8 albums, and I find that usually the little sentiments on the roller stamps fit perfect on a tab, so I use the sentiments on those. I use the date stamps on tags, or places that just have a small area to fill in the date. That being said, I only own a couple of them, I don’t have very many.

I always forget I have them. I'm going to bring them out and see if I use them.
