He really should resign. This case is far more serious then the previous one. He needs to research and prepare for his and her trials...

Haven’t we heard this story before? However the names have been changed, lol?
Son vs Wife (how could I forget that) Romania, Ukraine, et al vs. Egypt Porsche vs. Mercedes Diamonds vs gold bars
Why yes we have! 🤨
If only Menendez had set up numerous shell companies to hide his ill gotten gains instead of stuffing it in his pockets!

heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/september-22-2023“So a Democratic Senator is indicted on serious charges, and no Democrats attacking the Justice Department, no Democrats attacking the prosecutors, no Democrats calling for an investigation of the prosecution, and no Democrats calling to defund the Justice Department,” wrote former Republican representative from Illinois and now anti-Trump activist Joe Walsh. “Weird, huh?”

He'll be fine. Learn from the master - claim a witch hunt, fundraise off it, and move on

NJ governor is a Democrat and NJ a blue state. I see no reason to fear losing the seat if he resigns. It would certainly put a sock in all of the “two-tiered system of justice” jokers. not afraid of loosing the seat if he resigns. I don’t think he will resign. He doesn’t think they can take him down. He is full of himself I’m afraid the stupid Democratic Party of NJ will allow him to remain & run again and then we loose the seat.

I’m a democrat. Former NJ resident and current NY resident where he has been indicted. IMO he should resign. He’s been problematic for YEARS. Pre-Obama. During Obama. During Trump. Now. I think it cheapens the office to have someone like him as a senator. If he really did nothing wouldn’t that be a great comeback story/vote getter?
The only good thing is he would be replaced by a pick appointed by Phil Murphy, governor, democrat, and someone who I like.

At news conference stated he will not resign. He will be exonerated. He keeps money on hand, because he father taught him to do that growing to have cash on hand living in Cuba. Said it was his money from his bank account. So good, the withdrawals will be documented!!

A few added to have spoken out .
U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) was the first to call on Menendez to resign, on Monday. U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Peter Welch (D-VT) followed later that day.
On Tuesday morning, U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), John Tester (D-MT), and Bob Casey (D-PA) all called on Sen. Menendez to resign. by 11 AM, U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) also called for him to resign.
** Add Cory Booker to the list.
*** Rep Andy Kim has already stated he will run for the Menendez seat.
People are proposing appointing Tammy Murphy, wife if the Governor..

I don’t think he should resign. He’s already given up his chairmanship and he should be stripped of any committees he’s on. The alleged evidence against him looks really bad but in this country you are still innocent until proven guilty, the court of public opinion doesn’t count. No one was calling for his resignation the first time he was indicted, they’re doing it now is to say ‘see we’re better then the republicans’ and that’s fine but if they are really serious then expel him.
