Happy final Monday of the month all! I definitely made things harder for myself today: first - I'm on a laptop that won't type "s". so I have to copy and paste every time I need one. If you see a weird typo please insert an s and see if it makes more sense? next - I lost the link to the shimelle you-tube I'm using and when I went back and tried to find it...I can't! since I had sketched out her sketch, I still can give you all the reference, but I cannot link to her layout or video which makes me sad sorry shimelle!!! I've re-drawn it, photographed it and uploaded it to share. OK - so the beauty of it is that it starts with a very basic outline, typical shimelle layers behind the photos, and she then added stickers including a banner in the upper left corner. But they aren't on her sketch which looked like this: sketch a la shimelle v1 by kirstendrew, on Flickr This leaves *lots" of room to PIVOT your design today! You could leave it plain, add a diagonal sticker line, add background papers, add clusters... Here is what I did to dress up the sketch for myself, adding some rays, a 1/3:2/3 paper division and a few embellie clusters: sketch a la shimelle v2 by kirstendrew, on Flickr And here is my layout example: layout role play by kirstendrew, on Flickr I'd love to see how you interpret the basic sketch. The "twist" is to PIVOT your interpretation - today, ADDING your own embellishment. Challenge team members: 5 points for the sketch, and 2 bonus if you add the twist. Tagging grammadee to add to the master list. Phew...that was a lot of control v-ing my esses into place!

Thanks for all the sketches this month, kitbop. Love all the inspiration from Shimelle--and YOU! Thanks for hangin' in there today with all the technical issues. Great sketch, and your adaptation is wonderful!

I'm not sure how well I captured the sketch but I started with it...claiming the twist for adding embellishments

Here is my take on this one, kitbop . I have larger photos, and I added a strip of pp along the right edge to tie this in with its facing page (for #30). I also added a doodled pen border and swapped the tag out for a label. Love my pickles 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
