Northern Utah Peas or any Peas who may be in the area - Simple Stories is having their warehouse sale Monday through Thursday this week. They'll be open 10am-6pm. The address is 673 W. 1St, Building 4A-1, Ogden. The location is in the BDO (Business Depot Ogden) which was a former military base thus the slightly odd address. I'm planning to head there at lunch time today to check it out.

Let us know what you find. I would really like to go but not sure it will fit into our schedule this week. Have fun!

I really hope my son will make it through an entire school day tomorrow. Mama's going shopping!
ETA: I saw you already went. I was going to say stop at BDO and get yourself some Lofthouse cookies. I haven't been to a warehouse sale, but I did shop at their little store (when it was opened). They also had a very tiny shopping section in their corporate offices. It felt weird being there and I haven't been back in a long time.

Sounds like fun. A little far for me 😀we have Lawn Fawn out here but they don’t do warehouse sales. Sizzix used to though.
Years ago there were several stamps companies (sadly no longer in business) that would have parking lot sales. This was back when all stamps were rubber and were sold unmounted. One of the companies offered a deal where you could pay a flat charge up front and you got to fill a small pail with the stamps you wanted.

I'm pretty sure a flight to Utah would negate any savings for me. Have fun shopping and please report back so we can ooh and ahh over your purchases.

I didn't make it to the sale until after work and haven't had a chance to report back until now. I thought the prices were pretty good - most embellishments were $1.00 each, stamp sets $5.00 each and paper packs $5.00 each. They did have a few "kits" made up with an entire line of paper and embellishments and those were priced from $10 to $20. There were quite a few Christmas collections there, and several Fall or Halloween collections. There were paper packs from most of their recent collections other than their Say Cheese at the Park (Disney) collections. There were a few boxes with a variety of stamps and stencils, some Washi tape packs and some Snap binders. There were quite a few embellishments that went with the paper packs as well. They also had packs of 25 papers (all the same paper) for $2.00 which was a great price if you could use that many of the same paper. I ended up spending $65.00 but thought it was a good value for what I got. It turns out the owner Amber grew up in the area where the company for which I work has a location (I still work for the same company but in a corporate position where I work from home when I'm not traveling.) I met Amber's mother and talked with her for a little while (she was working at the check out line when I was paying) and we realized we probably know a lot of the same people. refugeepea you know the area quite well so there's a chance you know Amber or know of her. If you're in the area I think the sale is worth checking out.

Is it really only this week? I'll be in the area next week..... Well, at least close enough to make the trip further north. My MIL lives in Ogden and has talked about BDO quite regularly -- she's a thrifty shopper. Maybe I can have her go snag me some goodies. But it almost sounds like something I would need to see to know what I need...

I went there this morning with my daughter. Was her mother a little lady with gray hair and glasses? She told me the cutest story about how two of the lines were named after her grandchildren. I went to the Simple Stories website and Amber does not look familiar. I bet if I heard her maiden name, I could make a connection with someone I know, like six degrees away from Kevin Bacon.
I spent a little more than you. I did buy one 25 ct paper pack for $2.00. It had a white background and little black asterisks on one side. I mostly bought embellishments and I think four stamp sets. I have SO much paper, and I'm usually too cheap to buy embellishments at full price. I did buy a vintage Halloween and a Valentine's collection for $5.00 each. The Valentine's line will be for making cards for my son's class. I couldn't help but buy two 6x8 pads for $1.00 each!
My daughter is Autistic and VERY animated when she's seeing things she loves. I think the other customers took it with good humor. She was oohing and aahing and saying mom, mom, mom did you see THIS?! At one point she said, I don't understand how you can go from one side to the other. I'm going linear so I don't miss anything!
An employee overheard me saying I'm going to figure out these stencils! She brought out a Christmas album and said I really hope you don't mind, but here's a page I did with modeling paste and a stencil. I got talking to one lady that remembered a specific old SEI paper I was talking about. That's when we were discussing the 25 packs. I think she bought four of one kind! My kind of people.

Thanks for the reports! Sounds like a worthwhile sale to hit. Even though I don't need more paper, I would have been buying those packs for $2 if I liked them a little bit. They would be great for mass cardmaking. And embellishments and 6x8 pads for $1 each? Swoon! Good think I don't live in Utah (or close to Utah) because, road trip, lol.

Sometimes not being near a SB warehouse sale is a good thing. I always have to convince myself I don't need any more paper!
