I know it’s not just the meds - my cousin is on ozempic, eating carefully and walking daily, and has lost 80 lbs in the past year. Such good news for everyone’s health. It's such a great tool. When you’re overweight and out of shape, it’s hard to even start exercising at all… the only thing I could do then was go for walks. And yes, that’s better than nothing, but the whole premise of “work out and eat better” is just not feasible when you literally, physically, can not work out. I’m sitting here now, nursing my sore muscles from lifting weights with my 21yo son, and I would NEVER have thought I would be doing that.

lI never ended up losing anything on Semaglutide and now I'm taking Mounjaro because I am slightly diabetic. I just went up a little bit in dosage so I'm hoping it will do something toward weight loss. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is supposed to be more effective than semaglutide, so I hope it works out for you! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Wow, great job Gennifer ! I never ended up losing anything on Semaglutide and now I'm taking Mounjaro because I am slightly diabetic. I just went up a little bit in dosage so I'm hoping it will do something toward weight loss. Unfortunately, I don't think these meds are as effective for weight loss for people with diabetes - I hope you have better results with Mounjaro! Yeah I think you're right. I'm meeting with a bariatric doctor this week to look into surgery. I think that is going to be the best route for me.

Yes, that is something I've read a lot about on the reddit threads. They're also finding some success with gambling and shopping addictions. I'm curious to see if there are any genetic components to reduced addiction impulses.
