If you buy a blade for their machine in March, and don't open the package until September and find out it's defective, they won't do anything about it... I ordered directly from Silhouette as they were having a sale.
I guess inspect the package to see if a piece is missing as soon as it arrives but without opening it, since they don't take returns on opened items either.
My PSA for the day.

That stinks. What type of blade was it, and what part was missing?
I have often bought extra blades, but don’t check until I’m ready for a new one. Guess I’ll at least do a visual inspection in the future. I’ve never had a defective blade.

It's an autoblade for the Cameo 4.

Oof, that's no good. I'm surprised they won't do anything about it because clearly it's defective. I'm sorry that happened. Now I'm going to have to go through my blades to make sure they're all in tact, although I bought mine through my local scrapbook stores flea market, so I wouldn't be able to return them anyway.

I’d call again. That’s ridiculous. Can you use the part from the old blade?
