Hello all - my theme for your Monday cards is "Sets", as in a set of cards. My definition of a set is 3 cards - you may use the same papers for your set with different sentiments or the same sentiment with different papers. grammadee Here are my samples - don't be put off by the number of cards I make them for "Cards for Soldiers" so I make multiples flic.kr/p/2p6yBzv

Thanks, gramma for the challenge and thank you for hosting this month. I love your beautiful cards. I'd love to go scrapbook shopping with you because you find the most beautiful papers! My set is very simple, but they are prettier in real life. LOL Thinking of you - Watercolor images

Thank you for the challenge gramma . Your cards are very pretty! I just got a paper pad with tiny flower prints, and I may use them later for inspiration. But first, Christmas cards. nylene so lovely! I love the different shades of the same color, and the focus they bring onto your floral element. azcrafty , so vibrant! The metallic matting makes them pop even more.

nylene, the flower cluster on your cards is so pretty, and I love the color scheme you chose. azcrafty, your Halloween cards are fun and spooky. jjpeapea, your gingerbread cards are bright and cute. I love that one gingerbread is a boy and one is a girl. I finally got my set done. I used different papers from one of my favorite Heartfelt Creations paper collections, and used the same phrase, although each was a different stamp, font, and size. I needed some “Thinking of You” cards. Unfortunately, the colors didn’t scan quite right. They look more vibrant IRL. For those who may not be aware, Heartfelt Creations is going out of business.

Thank you for the great challenge. Making multiples is always a challenge for me, lol. Your cards are so lovely grammaLast year I found a package of Halloween die cuts on deep discount at ACOT and purchased 10 packs on sale for the price of 1 at regular price! I'm very slowly working my way through them and thought this challenge would be a good use for one of the larger pieces, along with some previously made backgrounds that I couldn't get to work for me last year. The iridescent green sequins photographed neon green!

Your cards are so pretty. I love the slight variation of color within the panels. It adds interest without taking attention off the focal image. This collection was a favorite of mine last year, so any chance to see something cute made from it, I'm all in! These are such fun and work so well with the sketch. I love your festive gingerbread. It's almost always a brown gingie, but I love them in color!! Your cards are so lovely. I really appreciate a pattern paper with a focal image that makes quick work of card making!

For those who may not be aware, Heartfelt Creations is going out of business. Oh no, I know that's one of your favorite companies! I hope you will be able to stock up on things before they are gone but I'm sure you'll miss having them around. Your cards are very pretty! Everyone has made lovely cards So funny that your sequins came out neon in the photos RyannGreat challenge gramma I always find myself making several if I'm making a card, or at least getting started on several. I'm working on the sheetload sketch with Doodlebug papers this week. Just as soon as I figure out sentiments I'll be back to share.

These are the cards I have made so far using the latest Sheetload sketch and a Doodlebug fall/pumpkin spice collection. I'm not sure if I'll add sentiments to all of the cards without them - if I do it will just be a small strip saying hello, most likely. I don't have many good fall sentiments so I might print my own. I'm probably just going to keep going with this sketch until I run out of cut apart squares for the focal image. Oct share - sets/SLOC by jo.blackford, on Flickr

I made my set with the intention of getting rid of some pink paper. I had a 6x6 paper pad that had like 5 different pink patterns. So same sentiment, 4 different patterns:

gramma your cards look awesome! Dumb question, but how do you get everything to line up so nicely? nylene I love your cards; the colors and the design! azcrafty I love the touch of gold on the Halloween cards. jjpeapea Your gingerbread cards are adorable. I love the classic red and green. scrapnnana I love the soft colors on your cards. So very pretty! Ryann I'm also working my way through some cheap embellishment pack for Halloween cards too! I love the Jack-o'-lantern pattern paper. joblackford how do you get them to be so straight, perfec,t and symmetrical? A really good paper cutter? You use an electronic paper cutter for all the matts? I seriously struggle with getting things to look that clean. And the cards are adorable too! FurryP great job using up paper! I like how the sentiment is centered in the cards with the hearts expanding outwards. justjac who is the manufacturer of the yoda stamps? Too cute!

joblackford how do you get them to be so straight, perfec,t and symmetrical? A really good paper cutter? You use an electronic paper cutter for all the matts? I seriously struggle with getting things to look that clean. And the cards are adorable too! Thanks. No electronics involved. A great guillotine style paper cutter, liquid glue (for a little wiggle time), mild perfectionism… and a lot of practice. But believe me, they’re not actually perfect. I do trim off extra bits that look uneven if I can but I also realized that once things are done most people don’t notice small imperfections. I will say that I had a terrible time with a previous (Fiskars) trimmer that didn’t cut square. Nothing will look right if the corners aren’t square.

Here’s my entry for this week’s sets. If you’re in the Pea Fall card exchange you may get one of these so act surprised when you open it LOL!! Sentiment is from Newton’s Nook, Layered stencil from Photoplay and the Trick or Treater is Lawn Fawn.

mbanda the colored stamp images are adorable! I'm new to stenciling. Was it a fairly simple process to make the candy corns?

mbanda the colored stamp images are adorable! I'm new to stenciling. Was it a fairly simple process to make the candy corns? Yes! I used the Photoplay 3 layer candy corn stencil but I’ve seen other companies that have a similar stencil. It’s super easy to use. On a couple of the cards I used white texture paste for the white tops but otherwise I just used distress oxide inks. Each stencil layer covers the whole card and the companies make it easy to line them up with your paper.
