Just wondering what are others are doing? I had already subbed to the stamp kit & now I'm giving the paper kit a go for 6 months. I also sub to another kit company - SB & PL. Thinking of letting those 2 go for now though. Am keen to hear what others are doing!

I don't buy kits because I am never sure that I will love what is in it. I also make two of everything so my investment in a kit every month could easily be $80 or more. I love the idea of kits though.

I like her stuff but honestly think that the kits she has are too pricey, particularly the new story kit. I am also unlikely to buy as a one-off because of the "if you buy once you are automatically subbed and have to cancel" arrangement. I have one PL sub right now and am sticking to that until and unless I make a serious dent in my built-up product. I loved subbing at Noel Mignon, but I am drowning .

They are pricey for what they are by 2x. If they were half that price I would likely sub since I like her style and usually find something interesting in her approach and use of products. My overall budget is not the issue, it's the value I perceive the kit and stamp to be. It's really not worth the money in my opinion.

I've been subbing to her stamp kit and I've added 6 months of the Story Kit. I appreciate that she's giving access to the digital files if you sub to both. I can really use those. I do find her classroom stuff to add value to the product. I figure that I'll give each one 6 months and see how much I'm using them. I also sub to an SB kit and I'm going to cancel that while I work through my stash. I may even just add an embellishment only kit down the road like Freckled Fawn because I have way too much paper.

I do understand what you ladies are saying about the kits being pricey. I'm international though, so even with the ridiculous shipping prices, for me, they represent good value. Ia sheet of Bazzill card stock costs about $1.50US here. I am however drowning in product. It's just so hard to give up my subs. I know I should though.
On another note, I just received some BF items from a different kit club & a class kit from another. They came in half the time my regular kit comes! If & when I sub again, I don't think I'll go back to them.

I am a subscriber to Story Stamps, but I'm finding it to be a hit or miss experience. After the 1st month, I was in love, I used that stamp set quite a bit and I got several layouts completed thanks to the prompts. After that initial first month, I have found a decline, journaling is difficult for me and I am finding the stamps limiting more than inspiring. "Get Real" was too real for me, so I looked at the Story Kit and it just seemed like "Stuff", if I didn't have enough stuff to last me a lifetime, I would probably love it but looking at it, it didn't seem like something that enhanced the experience enough to justify the price and amount of use.

I like the colors in Ali's kit and I can only assume they will stay in the "less girly" color palette. However, it seems very repetitive with the same thing said over and over...I know that is the point - to focus on one theme but that is not how I scrap. I really wish there was a club that had more boy friendly (or masculine) colors most months- like SC's Copper Mountain and Bluegrass Farm kits....I loved those. It's not even as much that I have boys, I just personally like those colors.

I love the kit a LOT but really it is the colours for me, I get also that there is a theme, but seriously how many firsts are going to happen.

I like Ali's style and few of her stamps, but the kits are out of my scrappy budget range. I understand that she has a "classroom" which adds to the kit price, but her kits are too pricey for what you actually get.

i love ali's content and her style; any classes i've taken from her have been excellent. however - i definitely believe the kits are overpriced.

I sub for the story stamps and seriously hemmed and hawed about the kits. In the end I decided against them for a couple of reasons. One by the time I would get both and pay shipping/exchange it would about $50...and I can get a lot for that price. To me the stamps are great and if I tire of them I can sell them I would have a hard time selling bits and pieces of a used kit. Secondly the educational content, while amazing and fabulous, doesn't change or add anything to the story kit...its the same content for the story stamps andmkit from what I read. So I'll stick with the stamps.

I considered subbing but thought the subs were a bit expensive and could get a bit repetitive. I have a PL sub with SC and that works for me right now. The budget only stretches so far!

I only sub there. I have told and been inspired to tell more stories from the stamps and the kit seemed like a nice compliment. I hope to just buy those each month with a small quarterly budget to buy small kits for specific things, like OLW, cardstock, etc. it's been worth the money to me, the classroom is a whole class each month. So to me if some said the class was worth $10. That stamp is worth $10.

Is there a place you can see past stamp sets of hers? I've considered subbing to her stamp one for awhile but I can't see what I get.

I bit the bullet. I wish i had started with the Daily stamp set. That one i would have loved to have. I have been super inspired to create with her WITL and DD this past month. I am not sure if it is because i actually took the time to do these, but i had not scrapped/stamped/taken pics with an actual camera in over 2 years. I hope the kits keep me focused.

I just watched the video and I really like the idea just not sure if I would follow through.
Has anyone taken the class part and can tell us how many layouts or projects she shows. I am thinking of it more as a class. I am tempted to do digital for one month since it is month to month. I just can't tell if you get the starting points. It doesn't look like it and that is one of the main reasons I would want to take it. I would really like to start telling more stories and not just scrapping the big things.
I am just going back and looking at her December daily pages and love her journaling so much more of the story than I would ever include and I love it.

I sub to her stamp club and really love the videos. She shares her thought process as she puts together the layout, which I really love hearing about. She really makes you think. She is a phenomenal teacher! I highly recommend trying it out for at least one month and then decide if it's for you.

I am very tempted to get the story kit because for some reason, Ali inspires me to make layouts more than any other human on earth. I think the classroom content, videos, gallery and message board add a great deal of value. I don't look at the story kit as just some embellishments. I look at it as a $20 a month investment into being motivated to make something scrappy. Of course I don't need the product but I am seriously thinking about taking the plunge. The grouping of products this month saying "first" so many times excites me because I would feel challenged to continue making layouts about firsts in my life until I had exhausted at least most of the supplies. That is what I like about a kit - I like the challenge of seeing what I come up with. I can think of at least 20 firsts to do layouts about. Just watching her preview video has my wheels turning.

I can't get past that she's using Studio Calico (SC) to handle the subscriptions. As long as I have been an Ali fan, this development has come as a huge disappointment. She's lost me as a customer for any products or subscriptions administered by them.

It looks like tips you try it for a month you need to cancel the following month before you even get your first shipment. I do love Ali and her style though and love the idea of a mini class with her every month. She inspires me a lot. I also really want to start telling more stories. I also so do not need more product but do love the stamps heck I even liked the kit with physical product. I am not looking at it as a kit so much as a class though. I do wish someone that was taking the story class would pop in and just give a bit of info about it how many layout she shows I her videos. I know she will give a lot of ideas for them she did in the preview. I am getting more and more tempted the more I think about it.

I have been subscribing since the first month of Story Stamp. I was hesitant because of the price (and the affiliation with Studio Calico) but I don't regret it for a minute. As a previous poster mentioned, the additional classroom content is well worth the price. You can figure the stamp set is worth $10. The class material is definitely worth another $10 to me. If you like Ali and her style, you will not be disappointed. Because of the affiliation with SC, I have resisted the Story Kit. Believe me, I have enough in my stash that I can substitute for that kit material without depending on Studio Calico.

I would love to get the digital kit but $20 is really high. It includes videos & PDF's though. It's actually more like a class.
