As revealed in the OA Santa Sacks thread, OA unveiled a new line that is currently shipping to stores. Surprisingly, it's not the previously-introduced & much-anticipated Treasure Map that was last reported to be released in early 2015 or Daily Flash-Summertime that was quietly removed from the website earlier this year. Rather, the new line is aptly named Saturday Mornings (TM) with a warm color palette & retro images. What are your thoughts?

While I wouldn't buy it, it is cute. I like the bold and bright colors usually.

Ha ha you beat me to it PaperAngel ! I was already going to order SS #4 because I thought they might have some Treasure Map hidden in there...but this was a lovely surprise. I too, was shocked they hadn't leaked ANY info on this line at all, wow! My thoughts on the line: overall I love it! It definitely makes me nostalgic for my childhood. It also makes me wish I had pictures of a big vintage television or something. We didn't watch much TV when i was a kid, mostly i just watched cartoons Saturday mornings, thus this is perfect for me! I love that OA does different themes than other companies, and that OA always feels very OA, true to its own style while somehow remaining fresh. They are by FAR my favourite company for designs. This line is a good mix of cute retro prints and easy to use B sides. They just get retro so right...I especially love: Omelet paper (clouds!); Cereal paper; Orange Juice paper; Label Stickers; Shape Stickers and the tidbits. As I posted in the Santa Sack thread I did notice they don't have as many of their staple embellishments as usual...to quote myself: no button pack, no miscellany pack, no sew fun banners, no clear stamps (2 rubber though), no mini market (GASP!), no 12 x 12 alpha stickers, no collection pack or 8x8 pad, and the border stickers and label stickers have been combined into 1 sheet. I wonder if some things didn't get produced in time or if they are making cuts to their staple embellishments? I did just see, however, that ACOT has a listing for a collection pack for this line, so that is probably going to be available after all. Oh and no Chip N Stick... I am very interested to hear whatever likes and doesn't like about this line.

It's cute. I will prob buy a few pieces of paper. I prefer their older style lines that didn't have so many image-based patterned papers, like the TVs and chairs and people and more TVs and breakfast things in this line. I've always bought 2-3 sheets of their label stickers, but probably won't buy any from this line since the sheet is 1/2 border stickers, which I never ever ever ever use. (Even though I have a big box of them).

I blogged about it this morning here. Had some fun with the way they "announced" it, LOL.

I'll believe it when I see it. I've been reading OA's blog wondering how long they can post pages with the same old product and never saw any design team work with this line. You would think the design team would already have it if it was shipping...

You would think the design team would already have it if it was shipping... The new collection is included IN the last Santa Sack #4 which was announced this morning, and those ship within 2 days of payment so, that implies it is in their hands now, ready to go. I am pretty sure that someone like maybe stampinisfun might order one and we can see what was included in a day or two. She always gets a list up super quickly. I ordered right away though, as it has NEW OA in it, it will probably sell out faster.than the others which are all sold out now.

Ohhh, I just realized what I need to take pictures of for this...my son has been obsessed lately with the 1960's Batman TV Show...yes the one with Adam West...must get photos!
Yes, I stage photos to use scrap supplies...you do it too, admit it!

I always love OA stuff but then struggle using it... I can always use the brads and miscellany... I love the A sides, but get stumped when using something so specific in theme and style... I like them for mini books though so I do end up buying most of line though...lol I'm just glad to hear they're shipping stuff... Hoping that whatever happened this year is solved and they can ship stuff out more often...

I couldn't buy the whole line though because I just wouldn't know how to use it...even the papers and the embellishments together on the same layout would be a bit too much retro in one place for me.

I saw a thread on the SC message boards about this as well. Mel Blackburn said she had it on her desk. She is on their DT so it's out there. I ordered SS #4 too and am super excited to see what they send us!!

oh my goodness, I loooove it! I also struggle to use some of their designs, but they're so stinkin' cute I think I would buy most of the patterned paper, just to have it! I love the retro feel of the designs; it reminds me of some of the 'vintage' Looney Tunes or Merry Melodies cartoons I used to watch as a kid. I would love to have everything from this line, except probably the rubber stamps, whether I used it or not= I just like to look at it!! lol!! Some of this paper would totally work framed and hung on a kitchen wall, too, like the cereal box pattern!!

(Even though I have a big box of them). I agree - I wish they would cut down on the number of image-based papers (and embellishments). It's a little much. Although, I can quickly think of at least four layouts that I could do using the breakfast patterns (in small amounts). I do love the B sides of most of the papers. Layout #1 - making french toast and pancakes with my youngest dd - she loves to help me make breakfast, Layout #2 - sneaking to a local breakfast restaurant with my oldest dd for breakfast - it's our time together and her favorite place to go with me (she already did a layout on this subject), Layout #3 - breakfast place in Chicago (Toast) that is my favorite - went there during my honeymoon and this past summer (I have pictures), Layout #4 - breakfast on Sunday's - growing up my dad would make breakfast after church, it's the only meal I ever remember him making. Yeah, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!

I forgot to add that I wish they had the 8x8 pad. When I do use the image based papers I usually only use a small amount and I like the 8x8 for the smaller pattern.

I think their images are really their strong suit, although I think their patterns are lovely too. I really wish they would do a line of mid-century modern type papers. Those patterns would go so nicely with all their other stuff.

OMG! I absolutely love it! Mid century is very much my style and has been since I was a little girl so this is just perfect.
I really like the image based papers. A lot of times I trim them down to make cards for my project life scrapping. The right images makes nice accents for the photos and stories I'm telling. That said, I like a lot of the patterns too. I can see using a couple for some photos from the Prime Time Cafe At MGM Studios in Disney.
The only thing missing I really miss are the mini markets/sticky keys.
Can't wait to order it!

I am totally in love with the Saturday Morning line. This is totally how I spent my weekend mornings growing up. I think I might buy a Santa Sack because I want it ALL!
And did you see the little Black girl!!! This is EPIC for me. I'm all over this!

I think it's cute, but some of it is way too retro for me. I'd like a few items for pages I'd like to do from the 40's and 50's.

It's adorbale - but will we ever see it hit stores? Sounds petty promising as there are reports the DT has it in hand AND it has been sent out and received in the 4th Santa Sack. ACOT has it up on their site if you search for it although it is not yet available...

I think it's cute, but I wouldn't buy it since I don't think I'd have the "right" photos to go with it. Now, if my Mom had only taken pics of me 40+ years ago watching cartoons, I'd be good to go as far as buying it.
