Its time for another vellum challenge. I'm keeping it easy this time around. I want you to create a shaker card and use a vellum piece instead of the acetate. For the twist let's heat emboss an image or sentiment on it- remember to heat up the heat gun before you heat embossing, it helps to keep the vellum flat and I can even use the lower setting on my gun to emboss on vellum. I created two cards one with the twist and one without. For fun let's add 5 extra points if you use images as your shaker pieces. I used some gift images to make my card more colorful. Your cards are lovely, azcrafty! My vellum is super thick. I decided that for anything to show through, it was going to have to be really dark, so I went with a creepy card.  |

azcrafty I love this effect! My cards are the favorite I made so far. Your cards are beautiful. scrapnnana Love it! The vellum creates an eerie fog effect. I do like how the dark spiders are seen through the vellum. I made two - one because I had some colorful shaker elements and the other because I loved how azcrafty's white on white looked.

Your cards are so pretty, jjpeapea! Your cards, and azcrafty’s are bright and festive. I may have to try again with a more cheerful theme, if I can find something that will show through my ultra thick vellum. I have colored vellum, but that is kind of thick, too, plus dark. I’ll have to see if I can find thinner vellum. I used to have some. I can’t seem to find it in my stash. |

I love seeing your cards scrapnnana and jjpeapea. scrapnnana your card is so spooky it make me think of the scene in Harry Potter with the giant spider and the baby spiders...😱 jjpeapea lovely cards...my favorite is the last one. There is just something about monochromatic color scheme that I absolutely love , especially if its white. The combination of snowflakes and all the white is just so beautiful 😍 . |
