I have been sorting my parent's photos that were in a cardboard box. I have found some treasures! All of our childhood photos were in one album, so not a lot for 6 kids. Well, there were more photos I have never seen, still in the envelopes from the drug store. I found about 35 additional photos from first day of school for my youngest brother, along with a photo of all of us. There were photos from camping trips, one with my sister and I in our girl scout uniforms, etc.
I am so inspired to scrapbook them! I scanned the originals and have ordered copies for all of us.

A new relationship after raising my children alone for 14 years. After my divorce I put my life on hold to raise my children. Now they are grown and 18 months ago I started dating an old friend. Sappy in love and insanely happy. 🥰 Now I have time to do all kinds of things that I love including scrapbooking.

My 10-year old DS has been making pages with my leftover photos, and suggesting things I should scrap about or put on a page. He loves using my supplies/desk for his craft projects, which is only annoying some of the time... My three older kids have no interest in scrapbooking, so guess which kid is my current favorite

My 21st wedding anniversary was this past Thursday. DH developed some disposable cameras left over from our wedding (!) that we had never developed as my gift. He waited to look at them with me when I opened my gift. We found a treasure trove of pictures from early in our marriage (we thought they'd be of our wedding; we finally figured out these cameras weren't full from the wedding, and so we had kept them and used them up over time). There were pictures from three different friends' weddings, work events, volunteer projects, and the last was my first belly shot with my first child. I can't wait to scrap those pictures!

What lovely and amazing stories!
I'm making an october daily album and I just really like looking through all the papers and choosing the perfect ones for the layouts.
It's not sentimental or anything. And honestly, I'm struggling to find a groove with this project. But I love playing with paper.

For me right now it is making my October Daily album. This is the first year I am going an OD album and am really enjoying the process. I can be a lot more creative with my pages than with my regular pocket page layouts. It has been fun looking through all of my papers and all the goodies I received in the swap and deciding which to use.

I have had such a great time making Halloween cards for the Pea card swap that was posted last month. I made matching envelopes to go with the cards. I just started making cards a couple of years ago and it brings me so much joy.

A friend invited me to an out-of-town crop. She was the only person I knew, but thankfully, it was a wonderful group of ladies and I made several new acquaintances and hopefully friends too. I have been enjoying our online chats.

I got a coupon code from snapfish (90PRTOT) for 1 cent prints so ordered 200+ photos that had been lingering on my phone. Yes, shipping was like 15 bucks, but for matte prints at .01 I am willing to pay that. I am also going to a real 3 day crop, hosted by a hotel and a LSS. I am going with a friend who thought she was pretty much done scrapping but decided to give it another try. Am so excited and a little nervous. I am glad it is at the hotel, so I can go back to my room and vege out if needed. Will be a good balance I think!

I’m scrapping a really fun family vacation from earlier this year. I’m enjoying reminiscing as I work with the pictures.

I love a good wilderness photo opportunity. I live in Colorado and find them all over, and recently I upgraded my Canon and lens (600mm). I gave my old Canon/lenses to my DIL, and now my son is researching his future camera purchase. My son has watched dozens of YT videos and has been reading books about wildlife photography. I LOVE that he is just as much into it as I am. I also love that he will call and ask if we can take a day trip to different mountain tops in the state. Here are a few of the pictures we've taken with my new camera and lenses. They are from Mt. Evans and Rocky Mountain National Park. We watched the moose for 45 minutes that morning. I just started making cards a couple of years ago and it brings me so much joy. I’m just finishing up my cards for the fall swap. For the first time in a long time I feel like my cards came out kind of cute. I’m going to be backing off on participating in any swaps on these boards, so going out on a good note makes me happy.

Like Elsabelle , my constant "joy" in scrapbooking is reminiscing about the subject/event/etc. when creating a layout.

SKETCHtember got my butt in gear to scrap most of my summer photos. And mom holding weekday on line crops has helped me keep up. Had grandkids here this weekend and got tons of photos of them playing in the leaves in the yard. Looking forward to getting those printed next week and using my pretty fall papers. (Didn't buy any this year, but I always buy way more than I need cuz I love the colours, so have lots on hand). My ten year old grandson loves to scrapbook, and to see the pages I have made, so it's always fun to have him here (and he comes here for a sleepover once a week).

I moved over the summer and it’s just been in the last couple of weeks that my craft room has been put together enough that I can really spend time in there playing comfortably. I just set up my main work area to hold fall supplies to begin working on cards. I really enjoyed making Halloween cards so I’m hoping fall cards will be just as fun.

I’ve been working on finishing my December daily from 2022 and it’s been a lot of fun. I’m taking my time, looking through my products and watching you tube while others work on dd and it just feels really fun and festive.

I have been to Goodwill three times in the last week. Getting rid of old craft storage, shower, fall, and Halloween decor that is no longer needed. I had 7 tubs of just Halloween items. Felt very good to let it all go.

I have taken a break from trying to be current so I could work on older projects. I want to take all of my HS photos, scan the pages I made, and print a photo book. Currently my school albums are in (3) 8.5x11 albums. I’m hoping to condense into 1 photobook. So far, it’s been a fun project!!

Popping in after a long hiatus here to say organizing my supplies has brought me joy. I have at least 2-3 years worth of kits sitting in my office, organized and ready to use. So I’m leaving shopping behind in 2024 and unsub ing from my cocoa daisy kits. I feel so free, knowing I don’t have to free up space for the coming months box that I’m too busy to use anyways. They made it easier too

mikklynn, what a wonderful find!
I'm trying to get caught up on past December Daily albums. It's been a sweet trip to see my kids so young and growing up.

DH and I are going to New England for our anniversary next fall, so I already picked up some paper, stickers, and embellishments for that scrapbook because I just love the whole collection and don't want it to not be there next year. (Yes, I know I'm crazy; the collection is the American Crafts - Farmstead Harvest Collection). He also surprised me by suggesting we go to Boston in June since the New England trip will be mostly the Hudson Valley and a few places in Vermont (so far, anyway). Lastly, we are doing another Saturday trip to Philadelphia sometime soon (not sure what day just yet), but I'm excited to scrapbook that trip as well. Lots of things in the works, and I'm excited to travel and scrap the trips.

Yesterday I found this photo of my nephew scrapbooking with me. He’ll be 21 this year. I can’t really tell but I think he was about 9 in this photo. He was an enthusiastic scrapper. I miss my scrapping buddy. So this photo is bittersweet.

I've been scrapping 2008 photos - I just have some more October layouts and I'll done with the year. But my kids were so small then - 2, 8, and 17. I've really been enjoying the trip down memory lane. My little one is 17 now.

Lately I have been making planner pages and art journals. I have just been enjoying the process How do you make your planner pages? This is something I want to do, but can't nail down what will work for me and be easy to do. I'm tech challenged.
You know that means you have to buy ALL the love/romance collections!
Yesterday I found this photo of my nephew scrapbooking with me. He’ll be 21 this year. I can’t really tell but I think he was about 9 in this photo. He was an enthusiastic scrapper. I miss my scrapping buddy. So this photo is bittersweet. Aww, what a cute kid! I get a little sad when I see photos of my son when he had squishy puffy cheeks!
I had fun at the Simple Stories warehouse sale. It was nice to hear other women who enjoy the hobby. I really don't know that many people IRL who scrap. I've been a bit burned out with scrapping family. So, I got a few of the SS year in the life items (not sure on the correct name of the line) and that's all I'm going to use for scrapping 2022. I'll pull out papers and try to match things up. I may do the same for 2023. Yes, I'm behind! I joined the card making challenge. That's been fun, because I tend to just grab things when I make cards. I got carried away purchasing $1.00 stencils at the SS sale, so I'm excited to learn how to use them. Hopefully, I can find some easy techniques.
